With seasons winding down around the world, it is time to look at the overseas seasons of players who started their college careers at Duke, but finished them elsewhere.  While they are not covered regularly here, this is one of several updates on their play per season.

Eric Boateng went without a team for the first part of the season, but joined Mulhouse in France's third division later in the year and stepped in to contribute immediately.  Although he was not able to push his team into contention for promotion to the second division, he did end up as the league's leading rebounder and had the second highest field goal percentage.  Eric will be looking to continue to push his career higher up the leagues in Europe next season.

After a chaotic season last year that saw him play in three different countries and included him being one of the last American players to exit Ukraine, Jamal Boykin found a home quickly this season.  Returning to Germany, he joined newly promoted Gottingen, which confounded all expectations and steered clear of relegation and nearly made the playoffs in the top league.  Jamal was a key contributor off the bench, providing a reliable and efficient offensive spark.  Jamal continues to have a very solid overseas career.

Taylor King played his first season in Europe after seasons in Taiwan and a Mexican regional league.  He joined the Cheshire Phoenix of the British Basketball League and quickly became known as one of the best players, leading the team to the semifinals.  He was the league's second leading scorer and fifth most proficient rebounder, sinking the fourth most three pointers as well.  With a European pedigree now established, Taylor is going to attempt to leverage his productivity into a more lucrative and prestigious gig on the continent.

Olek Czyz was unable to sign earlier in the season because of an injury after his D League stint, but he eventually joined defending Polish champions Turow.  The team was already eliminated from EuroLeague by the time he arrived, but he did join in time to play in the EuroCup, where they made it to the round of 16.  They were in a good position to defend their title domestically, but four consecutive losses after taking a two game lead in the finals left them disappointed.  Olek provided an important defensive and rebounding presence tot he team off the bench.  Fully healthy, Olek will be hoping to impressive for the national team to continue his career trajectory.
