On Sunday, Nick Horvath and the Wellington Saints faced the Southland Sharks in the Grand Final, and the game was close throughout as they came up short 72-68.  Nick had a quiet 4 minutes.  Brendon Polyblank had 18 points and 8 rebounds, Daniel Johnson had 17 points, Leon Henry had 10 points and 8 rebounds, and Dion Prewster had 10 points.  In the win, ex-Utah State player Tai Wesley had 19 points and 11 rebounds.  It was a strange season for Nick, starting in Australia where he took advantage of a school break to help the Sydney Kings through an injury crisis.  He returned to his teaching job and started the season in New Zealand with his local team the Manawatu Jets for another year, but a dispute over his injury status led the team to terminate his contract.  He then finished his season with one of his former teams, but never really found the form that had made him one of the best players in the league.
