On Monday, Jasmine Thomas and Bnot Hertzeliya started the playoffs in Israel with Game 1 of the Semifinals, beating Maccabi Ashdod 75-68.  Jasmine led the way in the slight surprise as she had 31 points playing all but 17 seconds of the game.  Michelle Snow had 20 points and 6 rebounds.  In the loss, ex-Penn State player Tanisha Wright had 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists, ex-Middle Tennessee State player Alysha Clark had 14 points and 7 rebounds, rookie Tia Presley from Washington State had 12 points, and ex-LSU player Theresa Plaisance had 10 points.

On Sunday, Tricia Liston had her season ended after the Hansae completed their sweep with a 69-51 win in Game 3.  Tricia had a quiet 5 minutes.  Chelsey Lee had 15 points and 9 rebounds and Bernice Mosby had 14 points and 10 rebounds.  In the win, ex-Georgia Tech player Sasha Goodlett had 13 points and 9 rebounds.  An injury to one of the best players in the league forced Tricia's team to bring in a replacement, creating an opening for her.  While she was brought in as a backup with the expectations that the post players would be prioritized for playing time, she had an impact on several games for the team as they grabbed a spot in the playoffs, but fell short at the end.

Shavlik Randolph and Liaoning needed a win in Game 5 of the Finals to keep their season alive and return to their home court, but lost 94-91 to Sichuan to fall short.  Shavlik had 15 points and 12 rebounds in 28 minutes.  Lester Hudson had 39 points and 11 rebounds.  In the win, ex-Rice player Mike Harris had 25 points and 15 rebounds, ex-NBA player Hamed Haddadi had 22 points and 16 rebounds, and ex-Washington player Justin Dentmon had 11 points.  Shavlik returned to China after using the league as a springboard to the NBA in the past.  His team thought that they might have found the missing piece to their championship puzzle, pairing two of the most accomplished foreign players in the league and having one of the stronger domestic cores, but they fell just again in the playoffs after a dominant regular season.  It is unclear whether Shavlik has any options to leave before the final two years of his contract are played, but his return to China has been a fruitful one.
