On Friday, Kathleen Scheer did not make it in time for the Hobart Chargers season opener, which they lost to the Kilsyth Cobras 101-64.  Kathleen is set to return to club that she has played for professionally every season after her graduation now that her first European season is over.  Her teammates include ex-NAIA player Brittany Smart, ex-San Diego player Klara Wischer, and ex-New Mexico player Josie Greenwood.  In this game, Greenwood had 14 points and 6 rebounds and Wischer had 11 points and 7 rebounds.

Kathleen Scheer and Widzew Lodz nearly pulled out of last place, but lost a heartbreaker to Zaglebie Sosnowiec 84-83 and put themselves at risk of relegation.  Kathleen had 25 points and 12 rebounds in 36 minutes.  Brandi Harvey-Carr had 18 points and 8 rebounds.  In the win, ex-VCU player Robyn Parks had 29 points and 9 rebounds and ex-UConn player Ketia Swanier had 15 points and 11 rebounds.  It was a good first season in Europe for Kathleen, who proved that her game translates across continents even though it was an unexpectedly tough season for the team.  Kathleen is now scheduled to head back to Australia to play for the Hobart Chargers as she has every season after her graduation.
