On Monday, Marty Pocius and Zalgiris had the chance to close out the championship at home against Daniel Ewing and Neptunas and did so fairly easily with a 97-70 Game 5 win.  Marty had 10 points in 20 minutes and Daniel had 19 points in 34 minutes.  In the win, Jerome Randle had 16 points and 7 assists, Brock Motum had 13 points, Renaldas Seibutis had 11 points, and Robertas Javtokas had 10 points while Jerai Grant had 10 points and 6 rebounds in the loss.  Marty faced some struggles in the middle of his season, but had some solid performances down the stretch as it was important for him to return home for this season.  Daniel had a good start to his first season in Lithuania as the team exceeded expectations in continental play, before some struggles domestically.  Both he and the team managed to find their best form when it counted as they had a very impressive playoff run to make it to the end before falling.

As seasons end around the world, it is time for an update on some players who started their careers at Duke before moving on to other colleges.  While their overseas careers are not covered here in depth, they are mentioned on occasion.
Eric Boateng switched teams in the third division in France, joining Blois.  The decision paid off as he ended up being a contributor to a league-winning team, helping them earn promotion to the second division.

Jamal Boykin returned to a league that he had played in before as he joined Sendai in Japan.  He had a strong start to the season, consistently providing well over 20 and 10 a game, but the team opted to strengthen further in the chase for the championship, moving him from the second option to the third option.  He still finished well even though the team came up short in the playoffs.

Taylor King moved up to a higher level of play in Europe, joining Nevezis in Lithuania.  The team had a tough time in the local league, but did have a good run in the Baltic League as Taylor had a solid season.
