Nick Horvath was not able to suit up for his new team, the Wellington Saints, as they beat the Nelson Giants 85-76.  Earlier in the week, the Manawatu Jets tried to force medical retirement on him as the effects of knee arthritis have limited him so far this season.  Armed with medical opinions that stated that he could continue to play, Nick opted to continue his career elsewhere instead of taking a coaching job or quitting basketball.  With several offers on the table, Nick went with the nearby Wellington Saints which was his first team in New Zealand, but league rules mandate that he cannot play for several weeks after moving teams.  His teammates include ex-Cincinnati player Kareem Johnson, rookie Torrey Craig from SC-Upstate, ex-Stephen F. Austin player Dion Prewster, ex-Texas State player Brendon Polyblank, ex-Pepperdine player Daniel Johnson, ex-JC player Leon Henry, and ex-JC player Hugh Quinlivan.  In this game, Craig had 22 points and 13 rebounds, Prewster had 15 points and 6 rebounds, Henry had 11 points and 8 rebounds, and Polyblank had 11 points.  In the loss, rookie McKenzie Moore from UTEP had 20 points and 8 rebounds and ex-DII player DeRonn Scott had 11 points and 8 rebounds.
