On Tuesday, Kathleen Scheer and the Latrobe Demons beat the Smithton Saints 89-76.  Kathleen had 24 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists as she played all 40 minutes.  A couple of Kathleen's Hobart teammates led the way in the loss as Alex Ciabattoni had 27 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists and Josie Greenwood had 25 points and 12 rebounds.

Alana Beard, Angela Salvadores, and Avenida hosted Haley Peters and Uni Girona in Game 3 of the Finals with the winner becoming the champions of Spain.  The home team dominated to win 67-46 as Alana had 5 points in 24 minutes while Haley had 5 points in 16 minutes and Angela did not play.  In the win, Jelena Milovanovic had 20 points and 10 rebounds and Erika De Souza had 15 points.  Alana joined the team midseason again, helping them win the league before heading to her final WNBA season.  Haley moved teams in Spain again, having another strong season.  Angela had a solid first professional season, taking her chances when they came to her on a very talented team.

Allison Vernerey finished her season last Sunday.  She opted to restart her career, joining Valentigney in France's fifth division.  The league is too far down the pyramid to have regular stats available, but Allison was one of the top players as a third place finish in one of eight divisions at that level was not enough for them to qualify for the next stage of competition, which could have resulted in the team moving up to the fourth division for the next season.


On Monday, Daniel Ewing and Neptunas lost to Prienai 96-89.  Daniel had 8 points and 6 assists in 23 minutes before fouling out.  Chris Lofton had 17 points, Jerai Grant had 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Arvydas Siksnius had 13 points.

On Monday, Chelsea Gray and Abdullah Gul University returned to domestic league play and beat Girne University 84-82.  Chelsea had 23 points in 33 minutes.  LaToya Pringle/Lara Sanders had 18 points and 6 rebounds and Jelena Dubljevic had 10 points.  In the loss, ex-Rutgers player Cappie Pondexter had 26 points and 6 rebounds and ex-Utah player Leilani Mitchell had 26 points.

DeMarcus Nelson and Lyon-Villeurbanne had Game 2 of the Basketball Champions League Quarterfinals in Spain as they visited Canarias.  The result of the first game meant that no complex math was required for this game with whichever team winning advancing to the next round.  The team had the chance to close an early deficit, but could not do so, losing 61-51 in the game and being elimnated on aggregate by a 123-113 margin.  DeMarcus had 4 points in 22 minutes before fouling out.  Walter Hodge had 15 points.

On Saturday, Kathleen Scheer started her season with her main team as the Hobart Chargers beat their Tasmania rivals, the Launceston Tornadoes, 66-50.  Kathleen returns to Hobart for a fifth straight year as she looks to continue to be one of the top players in the league even though the team is not as strong as it was in recent seasons.  Her teammates include rookie Josie Greenwood, who opted not to finish her career with New Mexico this season.  In this game, Kathleen had 24 points and 13 rebounds in 33 minutes.  In the loss, rookie Lauren Nicholson from St. Mary's had 16 points and 6 rebounds.

Chante Black did not arrive in time in Australia to start the season with the Bendigo Braves as they beat the Dandenong Rangers 81-62.  Chante restarted her career with the team last year and has decided to return after just finishing her season in Israel.  Her teammates include ex-DII player Jane Chalmers, ex-DII player Caitlin McLachlan, rookie Bianca Dufelmeier from UAB, Maddison Wild, who will join the team after finishing her DII career, and Mississippi State commit Chloe Bibby.  In this game, Bibby had 12 points and 7 rebounds and Chalmers had 10 points and 6 rebounds.  In the loss, ex-North Dakota State player Bree Whatman had 12 points.
