On Friday, Nick Horvath and the Manawatu Jets faced the Super City Rangers and lost 100-94 as their season continues to look like a hopeless cause. Nick had 18 points and 20 rebounds in 30 minutes. Kathleen Scheer and the Hobart Chargers had an emotional game against the youngsters representing the Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence. With their coach leaving for non-basketball reasons (a common issue for semi-professional leagues), the team charged out of the gates with their new look lineup and led 26-4 after the first quarter and rolled to a 94-65 win. They struggled again to start the game and fought back to force overtime, briefly taking a lead before losing 82-78. DeMarcus had 5 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists in 32 minutes before fouling out.
