Duke Basketball Overseas -- part 13 of a season long series

On Saturday in Australia while it was still late Friday in the United
  States, Jess Foley and the Adelaide Lightning faced her former team, the
  Townsville Fire, and held on for 69-68 win.  Jess had 16 points and 6
rebounds  in 26 minutes to lead her team.  In the loss, ex-WNBA player Suzy
Batkovic had  17 points and 6 rebounds and ex-Gonzaga player Kayla Standish had
10 points and  8 rebounds.

Kathleen Scheer and the Sydney University Flames beat the Dandenong Rangers
  76-67.  Kathleen had 10 points in 17 minutes.  In the loss,
ex-Stanford player  Kayla Pedersen had 13 points and 12 rebounds, ex-Notre Dame
player Natalie  Novosel had 11 points and 12 rebounds, and ex-Utah player
Leilani Mitchell had  11 points.

Monique Currie and the KB Stars beat KEB-Hanabank 72-63.  Monique had
29  points and 6 rebounds in 30 minutes.  In the loss, ex-Kansas player
Nakia Sanford had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Mistie Bass jumped out to a big lead on Tarbes and solidified things in the
  third quarter to win 88-59.  Mistie led her team with 14 points and 7
rebounds  in 27 minutes.  In the loss, ex-Georgia Tech player Alex
Montgomery had 11  points.

Krystal Thomas and Perfumerias Avenida returned to domestic league action
  only to be stunned 62-59 by Conquero.  Krystal had 3 points and 12
rebounds in  27 minutes.  Shay Murphy had 18 points and 10 rebounds and
Angelica Robinson had  15 points and 11 rebounds.  In the win, ex-Oregon
State player Amaya Gastaminza  had 10 points.

Daniel Ewing and Paris-Levallois looked to build momentum against Le Havre
  and were forced into overtime before they could get the 85-82 win.  Daniel
had  10 points in 33 minutes.  Jawad Williams had 18 points and Elton Brown
had 13  points and 10 rebounds.  In the loss, ex-Auburn player Bryant Smith
and former  Illinois-Chicago player Cedric Banks had 14 points each, ex-Miami of
Ohio player  William Hatcher had 12 points and 8 assists, and ex-Samford player
Marc Salyers  had 11 points and 6 rebounds.

On Sunday, Shavlik Randolph and Foshan looked for another win as they faced
  Liaoning and took the lead for good in the fourth quarter in a 114-105 win.
  Shavlik had 19 points and 13 rebounds in 35 minutes and Gerald Fitch had
30  points.  In the loss, ex-South Florida player Dominique Jones had 32
points and  ex-Texas A&M Corpus Christi player Chris Daniels had 22 points
and 9  rebounds.

Shelden Williams and Tianjin faced the Bayi Rockets.  Given the
special  nature of their opposition, Shelden's coach had an important decision
to make as  he could only play two of his three foreign players.
 Insteading of picking a  post player and a guard, he opted to field both
Shelden and Jordanian forward  Zaid Abbas and they lost their first half lead
and were forced into overtime,  losing 105-98.  Shelden had 21 points and
10 rebounds in 35 minutes.  In the  win, ex-NBA player Wang Zhizhi had 26
points and 6 rebounds.

David McClure and Neptunas traveled to Russia for a VTB United League game
  at Krasny Oktyabr where they suffered heartbreak again, falling 96-95.
 David  grabbed 4 rebounds and dished out 3 assists in 15 minutes.
 Arvydas Eitutavicius  had 11 points and Andrew Smith had 10 points.
 In the win, ex-Purdue player  Willie Deane had 28 points, 6 rebounds, and
6 assists, ex-UTEP player Randy  Culpepper had 27 points, ex-Murray State player
Cuthbert Victor had 13 points  and 13 rebounds, and ex-DII player Darnell Hinson
had 13 points.

Nolan Smith and Cedevita Zagreb hosted Radnicki of Serbia in Adriatic
  League play and held on to a 79-71 win.  Nolan had 4 points in 15
minutes.

Chante Black and Umbertide jumped out to a big lead on Spezia and rolled to
  an 83-67 win.  Chante had 17 points and 13 rebounds in 28 minutes.
 Ashleigh  Fontenette had 19 points and 8 rebounds.  In the loss,
ex-Hofstra player Marie  Malone had 14 points and 7 rebounds and rookie Lindsey
Moore from Nebraska had  10 points.

On Monday, DeMarcus Nelson and Red Star Belgrade had a big Adriatic League
  game, renewing the big Belgrade rivalry with Partizan Belgrade.  The two
teams  share an arena, but Red Star was the visiting team in this game. 
They spent  most of the game trying to catch up, sending the game into overtime
before  winning 86-83.  DeMarcus had 15 points in 37 minutes.  Charles
Jenkins had 13  points and Blake Schilb had 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 6
assists.  In the loss,  Joffrey Lauvergne, the 55th pick of the past draft
by the Memphis Grizzlies  before a draft day trade to the Denver Nuggets, had 14
points and 10 rebounds  and ex-South Carolina player Tarence Kinsey had 13
points.

Alana Beard and the Shinhan Bank S-Birds faced KDB Life Winnus and won
  72-59.  Alana had 9 points in 16 minutes and Shekinna Stricklen had 13
points.   In the loss, Tina Thompson, who has already retired from the
WNBA, had 13 points  and 9 rebounds.

Karima Christmas and Maccabi Ramat Hen continued a string of strong
  performances with a 71-55 win over Hapoel Petah-Tikva.  Karima had 15
points and  9 rebounds in 27 minutes.  Toni Young had 20 points and 9
rebounds.  In the  loss, Jasmine Thomas, the rookie out of Michigan State
and not the former Duke  player, had 19 points and 6 rebounds and ex-Syracuse
player Juanita Ward had 13  points and 6 rebounds.
