On Monday, DeMarcus Nelson and Panathinaikos returned to domestic league play and beat Panionios 79-46.  DeMarcus had 1 point in 14 minutes.  A.J. Slaughter had 18 points, Esteban Batista had 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Antonis Fotsis had 10 points and 8 rebounds.  In the loss, ex-Memphis player Will Coleman had 21 points and 10 rebounds.

Marty Pocius and Galatasaray returned to domestic league play and lost 76-64 to Gaziantep.  Marty had 1 point in 14 minutes.  Sinan Guler had 16 points and 7 rebounds and Justin Carter had 11 points.  In the win, ex-Colorado player Cory Higgins had 11 points.

Daniel Ewing launched LeMans Sarthe out to an early, but they needed to hang on in the end to beat powerhouse Strasbourg 68-67.  Daniel had 21 points in 32 minutes to lead all scorers and grab Game MVP honors.  Rodrigue Beaubois had 11 points and C.J. Wallace had 10 points and 7 rebounds.  In the loss, ex-Buffalo player Louis Campbell had 11 points.

On Wednesday, Nick Horvath started another season in New Zealand with the Manawatu Jets.  Unlike other recent years, Nick did play before the start of his local league as he fit some time in the Australian league into a school break to not interrupt his primary job as a teacher.  Nick's teammates include ex-Michigan player Dion Harris and returnees Brandon Jenkins, who went to Louisville, and Jeremiah Trueman who went to DII school Alaska-Anchorage.  In their first game, they lost 100-74 to the Southland Sharks.  Nick had 9 points and 12 rebounds in 28 minutes.  Harris and Jenkins had 14 points each.  In the win, ex-Utah State player Tai Wesley had 18 points and 7 rebounds.

Lindsey Harding and Edirne beat Osmaniye 74-63.  Lindsey had 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists in 36 minutes.  Marissa Coleman had 20 points.  In the loss, ex-VCU player D'Andra Moss had 14 points and rookie Stefanie Dolson had 12 points and 9 rebounds.

Jasmine Thomas and Orman flipped their lineup around again, but lost 86-71 to Botas.  Jasmine had 15 points in 33 minutes.  Kara Braxton had 20 points and 13 rebounds.  In the win, ex-Arkansas player Lauren Ervin had 19 points and 16 rebounds and ex-LSU player Quianna Chaney had 16 points and 6 assists.

Shay Selby and Binnenland started the playoffs in the Netherland with Game 1 of the semifinals against the Loon Lions, losing 65-43.  Shay had 12 points in 30 minutes to lead her team.

Mistie Bass missed a chance to play against her former team Lyon, as Lattes Montpellier rolled to an 88-49 win.  Naomi Halman had 16 points and 8 rebound and Jenna O'Hea had 13 points.

On Thursday, Marty Pocius and Galatasaray had a tough EuroLeague trip to Israel to face defending champions Maccabi Tel Aviv and lost 81-72.  Marty had 9 points in 28 minutes.  Justin Carter had 12 points and 7 rebounds.  In the win, ex-Virginia player Devin Smith had 22 points and 8 rebounds, ex-Illinois player Brian Randle had 19 points and 6 rebounds, ex-Florida player Alex Tyus had 17 points and 8 rebounds, and ex-Akron player Nate Linhart had 10 points.
