Last Saturday, Antonio Vrankovic started his professional career as Gran Canaria lost to Real Murcia 99-84.  Antonio signed with Gran Canaria recently to play with its reserve team, which competes in Spain's third division after being promoted last season as his teammates include Edon Maxhuni, who just opted to leave Long Beach State early.  In this game, Antonio had 12 points in 19 minutes.  Maxhuni had 19 points.  In the win, Tommy Bolte, who just finished his DII career, had 22 points and 6 rebounds, ex-DII player Patrick Whelan had 19 points, former Illinois-Chicago player Clint Robinson had 13 points, and ex-DIII player Andre Norris had 11 points.

Oderah Chidom and Tsmoki-Minsk started their season with a 62-57 win over Gorizont in the semifinals of the cup competition in Belarus.  Oderah signed with the country's powerhouse teams as they compete in multiple competitions and her teammates include ex-Nebraska player Rachel Theriot and ex-JC player Ekaterina Garchevskaya.  In this game Oderah had 11 points and 12 rebounds in 24 minutes.  In the loss, ex-UAB player Janae Smith had 19 points and 18 rebounds and ex-UC Irvine player Morgan Green had 14 points and 8 assists.

Last Sunday, Oderah Chidom and Tsmoki-Minsk beat Olimpia Grodno 73-51 in the finals of the cup.  Oderah had 18 points and 11 rebounds in 22 minutes.  Rachel Theriot had 15 points.

Last Wednesday, Kyle Singler missed the season opener for Canarias due to injury as they lost to Bilbao 81-67.  Kyle returns to Spain again, but switched teams as his teammates include ex-Virginia player Darion Atkins, ex-Ole Miss player Tomasz Gielo, ex-NBA player Marcelo Huertas, and Dani Diez, the 54th pick in the 2015 Draft by the Utah Jazz before his rights were traded to the Portland Trailblazers.  In this game, Huertas had 21 points and 6 assists.  In the win, ex-Evansville player Jaylon Brown had 18 points.

On Monday, DeMarcus Nelson and Bayern Munich started their season with a 111-55 win over Hamburg.  After his previous team decided not to keep him, DeMarcus signed with the German powerhouse as his teammates include ex-Georgetown player Greg Monroe, ex-Stanford player Josh Huestis, ex-Princeton player T.J. Bray, ex-Columbia player Maodo Lo, ex-NBA player Paul Zipser, Petteri Koponen, the 30th pick in the 2007 Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers before his right were traded to the Dallas Mavericks, and Mathias Lessort, the 50th pick in the 2017 Draft before his rights were traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.  In this game, DeMarcus had 5 points in 15 minutes.  Monroe had 18 points and 10 rebounds, Zipser had 17 points and 7 rebounds, and Koponen had 11 points.  In the loss, ex-Arkansas player Marshawn Powell had 10 points.

On Tuesday, Sofia Roma and the Santurce Crabbers returned from the national team break with an 84-77 win over the Aguada Santeras.  Sofia Roma entered the league's draft for new professional players with Puerto Rican heritage, getting picked third overall.  The league is already in the middle of its season, but statistics have been released unreliably so far and as a result, the games will not be covered in the same level of detail as for players in other leagues.
 
Kendall Cooper has been playing in Puerto Rico as well, signing with the newest team in the league, the Moca Explosivas, as one of their players without Puerto Rican heritage.  She had 11 points in their 71-68 win over the Carolina Giants in their first game after the national team break.
 
On Wednesday, Antonio Vrankovic and Gran Canaria II beat Menorca 88-76.  Antonio had 18 points and 11 rebounds in 25 minutes.  Edon Maxhuni had 13 points.  In the loss, ex-Western Illinois player Garret Covington had 25 points and rookie Deion Bute from Central Connecticut State had 10 points and 6 rebounds.

Kendall Cooper and Moca Explosives lost to the Manati Athenians 92-57 and Sofia Roma and Santurce Crabbers lost to the Aguada Santeras 69-52 with statistics not available for either game.
 
On Thursday, DeMarcus Nelson and Bayern Munich started the EuroLeague season by hosting Olimpia Milano of Italy, winning 78-64.  DeMarcus had 9 points in 17 minutes.  Maodo Lo had 12 points.  In the loss, ex-NBA player Luis Scola had 17 points and 6 rebounds, ex-NBA player Sergio Rodriguez had 14 points and 6 assists, and ex-Ohio State player Amedeo Della Valle had 10 points.

Shavlik Randolph was not in the lineup as Utsunomiya started their season with a 78-57 loss to Kawasaki.  Shavlik is healthy enough to play again, playing in Japan for the first time, but he starts the season as the backup foreigner to ex-Siena player Ryan Rossiter and ex-DIII player Jeff Gibbs as only two foreigners can play per game with ex-DII player Yuta Tabuse and ex-JC player Ryo Yamazaki also on the team.  In this game, Rossiter had 20 points and 11 rebounds and Gibbs had 10 points and 7 rebounds.  In the win, ex-Nevada player Nick Fazekas had 20 points and 15 rebounds.
