On Wednesday, Mistie Bass and the University of Canberra Capitals lost to the Adelaide Lightning 80-77.  Mistie had 10 points and 9 rebounds in 24 minutes.  Jordan Hooper had 13 points and 7 rebounds.  In the win, ex-WNBA player Abby Bishop had 21 points and 12 rebounds, ex-Notre Dame player Natalie Novosel had 17 points and ex-DII player Colleen Planeta had 11 points and 6 rebounds.

Shavlik Randolph started a new season in China as his team lost to Nanjing 119-113.  Shavlik's old team had an option to extend his contract to this season, but chose not to do so, leading him to team up with ex-Georgia Tech player Stephon Marbury to join the newer of the two Beijing teams.  In this game, Shavlik had 21 points in 31 minutes.  Marbury had 26 points and 6 rebounds.  In the win, ex-South Florida player Dominique Jones had 30 points and 13 assists and ex-North Carolina State player J.J. On Sunday, Monique Currie and Chante Black faced off against each other to start their seasons in South Korea.  Monique returns to the league for a fifth season as she was picked by her first team there, the Stars, with the 7th draft choice while Chante was picked for the first time, joining Winnus with the 9th overall selection.  Both of their teams also selected their other foreign players through the draft as the Stars took WNBA player Damiris Dantas with the 4th pick and Winnus selected ex-Notre Dame player Jewell Loyd with the 2nd pick.  In this game, the Stars won 73-57 as Monique had 8 points in 19 minutes and Chante had 3 points and 9 rebounds in 16 minutes.  Dantas had 29 points and 21 rebounds and Loyd had 14 points.
