Angela Salvadores, who has committed to play at Duke next year, had her first competitive game of the season. After spending last season with a developmental club in Spain's second division, she moved to Rivas, the defending Spanish champions, who have been forced to rebuild their roster due to financial issues, giving Angela a chance to play big minutes at a high level. Rookie Bri Kulas from Missouri recently joining the team. They started the season with the SuperCup, a matchup against powerhouse Perfumerias Avenida. While Rivas had the home court advantage, their opponents have a strong roster that includes almost all of their players from last season and they used that talent edge to ease to an 87-52 win. On Sunday, Josh Hairston and Massagno took a first half lead at home against Boncourt, but fell 80-75. Josh had 2 points and 6 rebounds in 36 minutes.
