Duke Basketball Overseas 10/12/15

On Friday, Mistie Bass played her first game of the season for Lattes Montpellier as they get closer to having their full roster.  They eased past Arras 79-45.  Mistie had 10 points and 7 rebounds in 27 minutes as she got back into rhythm after the WNBA season and long trip to France.  Valeriane Ayayi had 17 points and 7 rebounds.  In the loss, ex-St. Joseph's player Chatilla Van Grinsven had 13 points and 8 rebounds.

Lindsey Harding and Gelistirenler lost their second game in the group stage of the Turkish Cup 70-62 to Besiktas.  Lindsey had 4 points in 21 minutes.  Alex Bentley had 14 points.

Elizabeth Williams is still not playing for Istanbul University as they lost their second game in the Turkish Cup 69-51 to Botas.  Tan White had 15 points and 7 rebounds.  In the win, ex-Liberty player Avery Warley had 14 points and 11 rebounds and ex-Middle Tennessee State player Chrissy Givens had 12 points.

On Saturday, Ka'lia Johnson and Slavia Prague lost 79-68 to Nymburk. Ka'lia had 14 points and 6 rebounds in 31 minutes.  Krystal Vaughn had 23 points and 7 rebounds.  In the win, ex-Rice player Jessica Kuster had 20 points.

Chelsea Gray and Uni Girona beat Zamarat 75-58.  Chelsea led all scorers with 23 points and added 6 rebounds in 31 minutes.  In the loss, ex-JC player Sofia da Silva had 17 points and 13 rebounds and rookie Eilidh Simpson from St. Francis (NY) had 14 points.

Tricia Liston missed another game for Avenida due to the WNBA Finals as they beat Gran Canaria 72-60.  Gabriela Marginean had 17 points, Leonor Rodriguez had 14 points, and Jacki Gemelos had 10 points and 8 rebounds.  In the loss, Jen Reese from Colorado had 12 points and rookie Nevena Markovic from IUPUI had 11 points and 7 rebounds.

DeMarcus Nelson and Monaco were forced into overtime, but managed to grab an impressive 83-81 win over Nanterre.  DeMarcus had 4 points and 7 rebounds in 24 minutes.  Jamal Shuler had 22 points, Amara Sy had 20 points and 6 rebounds, and Adrian Uter had 11 points and 7 rebounds.  In the loss, ex-Georgia player Gerald Robinson had 20 points and ex-Alabama player Mykal Riley had 10 points and 8 rebounds.

On Sunday, Haley Peter and Conquero finally had their full strength team, but were surprised by Promete 69-67.  Haley had 5 points in 25 minutes.  Adaora Elonu returned with 22 points.  In the win, ex-Louisville player Jazz Covington had 14 points and ex-Minnesota player Leslie Knight had 10 points.

Lindsey Harding and Elizabeth Williams were supposed to face one another in the Turkish Cup, but events in Ankara postponed all of the games.

Karima Christmas still has not arrived in Italy after the WNBA season as Reyer Venezia beat San Martino 81-52.  Ashleigh Fontenette had 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 steals.  In the loss, ex-Indiana player Jori Davis had 19 points and 8 rebounds.

Marty Pocius and Zalgiris hosted Daniel Ewing and Neptunas, winning 81-71.  Marty had a quiet 4 minutes while Daniel had 14 points and 6 assists in 34 minutes.  Ian Vougioukas had 14 points and 7 rebounds, Brock Motum had 12 points, and Olivier Hanlan had 10 points in the win.  Jerai Grant had 15 points and 12 rebounds and Donatas Zavackas had 11 points in the loss.

Andre Dawkins and Torino picked up their first win in the top division by holding off Caserta 65-63 on the road.  Andre found his stroke as he had 14 points in 33 minutes.  Ndudi Ebi had 14 points and 6 blocks and Ian Miller had 12 points.  In the loss, ex-Washington player Bobby Jones had 12 points and 9 rebounds and ex-Nevada player Dario Hunt had 12 points and 6 rebounds.
