On Monday, Daniel Ewing and Maccabi Ashdod came back to beat Hapoel Gilboa Galil 77-75.  Daniel had 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists in 38 minutes.  Jake Cohen had 17 points, Chase Simon had 11 points and 6 rebounds, and Ed Daniel had 10 points and 7 rebounds.  In the loss, ex-Ole Miss player Murphy Holloway had 23 points and 14 rebounds, ex-Arkansas player Michael Qualls had 15 points, and ex-Albany player Jason Siggers had 11 points and 12 rebounds.

On Tuesday, Josh Hairston and Maccabi Ra'anana used a big second half to beat Hapoel Galil Elyon 80-66.  Josh had 10 points in 33 minutes.  Samme Givens had 20 points and 10 rebounds.  In the loss, ex-NAIA player Germaine Bowers had 25 points and 9 rebounds and rookie Cinmeon Bowers from Auburn had 11 points and 12 rebounds.

On Friday, Chante Black returned for the Melbourne Boomers as they edged the Adelaide Lightning 66-61.  Chante had 2 points in 22 minutes.  Kelly Bowen had 10 points.  In the loss, ex-WNBA player Laura Summerton had 14 points and 10 rebounds and ex-Iowa player Samantha Logic had 11 points, 8 assists, and 7 steals.

Lindsey Harding started her season in Turkey with Besiktas as they lost 84-74 to Mersin.  Lindsey retired from WNBA play, but continues overseas as her teammates included ex-Pitt player Shavonte Zellous, ex-North Carolina State player Markeisha Gatling, and Sera Ozelci, who just finished at Eastern Michigan.  In this game, she had 25 points in 30 minutes to lead her team.  Zellous had 14 points and 8 rebounds.  In the win, ex-Maryland player Marissa Coleman had 26 points and 7 rebounds, ex-UConn player Tiffany Hayes had 19 points and 11 rebounds, and ex-Middle Tennessee State player Cheyenne Parker had 12 points.

Chelsea Gray has not arrived in Turkey yet after the WNBA Finals, but Abdullah Gul University started their season with a 72-68 win over Canik Belediye.  Chelsea will be in her second season with the club after finishing last season with them.  Her teammates include her WNBA teammates, Ann Wauters and Jelena Dubljevic, ex-Penn State player Tanisha Wright, ex-Richmond player Mirna Mazic, and ex-UNC player LaToya Pringle, who is also known as Lara Sanders as a condition of her gaining Turkish citizenship.  In this game, Wright had 21 points and 12 rebounds.  In the loss, ex-USC player Shay Murphy had 10 points and 8 rebounds.

On Monday, Daniel Ewing and Maccabi Ashdod started the regular season with a 90-68 win over Maccabi Kiryat Gat.  Daniel led all scorers with 25 points in 30 minutes.  Chase Simon had 18 points, Jake Cohen had 10 points and 9 rebounds, and Ben Altit had 10 points.  In the loss, ex-Kansas player Tyshawn Taylor had 16 points and ex-Murray State player James Singleton had 12 points and 12 rebounds.

On Tuesday, Nadezhda Orenburg played another game before Elizabeth Williams could join the team, beating Spartak Moscow 84-64.  Amanda Zahui B did arrive after her WNBA season and had 10 points and 6 rebounds.  In the loss, ex-Florida International player Marita Davydova had 13 points.

On Wednesay, Josh Hairston and Maccabi Ra'anana put in a tremendous effort against a higher division team in Maccabi Kiryat Gat in the first round of the Israeli Cup, winning 80-74.  Josh moves to Israel's second division after success in other countries.  Their season actually started earlier with a loss in the League Cup, a knockout competition among all the teams in the division, but statistics were not available.  His teammates include ex-Drexel player Samme Givens.  In this game, Josh had 24 points and 10 rebounds in 29 minutes before fouling out.  Givens had 26 points and 14 rebounds.  In the loss, ex-Kansas player Tyshawn Taylor had 23 points, ex-Oregon player Devoe Joseph had 13 points, and ex-Murray State player James Singleton had 11 points and 8 rebounds.

Last Thursday, Angela Salvadores played in her first national level game since leaving Duke as her new team won the Supercup 93-80 over Ibaeta.  Angela joins Avenida, which has a rich tradition of former Duke players and is Spain's powerhouse team based in Salamanca.  Her teammates include ex-Middle Tennessee State player Chrissy Givens, ex-Drexel player Gabriela Marginean, ex-Texas A&M player Adaora Elonu, ex-UTEP player Kristine Vitola, ex-Miami player Laura Quevedo, ex-WNBA player Jelena Milovanovic, and ex-Rutgers player Erica Wheeler, who did not arrive in time for the game after having her WNBA season ended the night before.  In this game, Angela had a relatively quiet 8 minutes.  Milovanovic had 28 points, Elonu had 17 points and 11 rebounds, Givens had 14 points, and Marginean had 10 points.

On Wednesday, Haley Peters started her season with regular league play opening in Spain.  Haley has proven herself in Spain, moving up in team quality each season as she has joined Uni Girona.  Her teammates include ex-Arizona player Ify Ibekwe, ex-Florida State player Leonor Rodriguez, ex-Robert Morris player Artemis Spanou, and ex-JC player Sofia da Silva.  In this game, they held off Zaragoza 67-63.  Haley had 7 points in 18 minutes as she just arrived after her WNBA season.  Spanou had 26 points and 6 rebounds and Ibekwe had 15 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 steals.  In the loss, ex-USC player Hailey Dunham had 19 points and 9 rebounds and rookie Alisia Jenkins from South Florida had 11 points.
