On Friday, DeMarcus Nelson and Lyon-Villeurbanne saw their season end in heartbreaking fashion after a 70-69 loss to Strasbourg in Game 5 of the Semifinals. DeMarcus had 11 points and 7 rebounds in 31 minutes. David Andersen had 13 points and Darryl Watkins had 10 points. In the win, ex-Western Kentucky player A.J. On Saturday, Daniel Ewing and Neptunas finished their season with the deciding game of the 3rd Place Series, losing 75-66. Daniel had 16 points in 32 minutes. Chris Lofton had 14 points. In the win, Jimmy Baron had 23 points and Arturas Gudaitis, the 47th pick of the Philadelphia 76ers in 2015 before his rights were traded to the Sacramento Kings, had 12 points and 8 rebounds. Daniel started the season in Israel, but with his team firmly in the area between relegation and the playoffs, he returned to Neptunas as they attempted to recreate the magic of their previous season. While they did not reach that point, they had another solid season with Daniel re-joining their team.

As the season winds down, let's take a look at some players who started their careers at Duke before transferring to another school. While such players are not updated here regularly, their seasons are usually summarized.
Jamal Boykin returned to the same country, but with a different team, to start the season as he joined the Shinshu Braves Warriors, who were placed in the second division in Japan's newly restructured league system. Jamal played well, but midway through the season, he moved back to another familiar country, joining struggling Braunschweig in Germany. Jamal provided his usual energy and scoring off the bench as the team was able to stay in the top division.

Eric Boateng started the season without a team, but ended up re-signing with his team from last season Blois as they played in France's second division after he helped them win promotion from the third division in the previous season. Eric played the same role for the team, crashing the boards and playing a complementary role on offense as the team adapted well to their first time at this level, falling just short of the playoffs that would have given them a chance to fight for another promotion.
