You want us to skew the dog? What the hell do you think we do around here all day?

FWIW, I saw Hobart last week while visiting wilson in Atlanta. He is a very calm, happy, and loving dog. To steal an adjective from Ferris Bueller, he is a righteous dog!

Re: Poll skew for my brother's dog
Those pictures of the ridiculous dogs remind me of a Jeff Foxworthy joke about his dog.
He talks about how his daughter dresses up their (I think it's a) male beagle and pushes it around in a baby carriage. He talks bout how the dog looks up at him with these long suffering, pain filled eyes. Then he speaks as the dog and says something to the effect of:
Oh, Jeff, come on man, just kill me. Put me out of my misery. Look at me, man, I'm not even a DOG any more. Please!
Always cracks me up laughing.

Re: Poll skew for my brother's dog
The other day, I saw a young couple wearing Carolina t-shirts walking a dog. It looked like a weimaraner, but I'm not expert. Anyway, it's POURING down rain and they are soaked to the skin. The dog is wearing a raincoat. Okay, so you're smart enough to realize your DOG is gonna get wet, but too stupid to bring an umbrella or jacket for yourself? Only Carolina fans. ;) I wish I'd had my camera. Then again, maybe the dog was just smart enough to put on his own raincoat, and the two owners were too dumb to get the message.

I don't like people dressing their pets (Halloween is acceptable, I guess) but confess to having done it with one of our dogs growing up - but I was 7 at the time.

I didn't say it earlier, but I admit to thinking the same twisted thing.colchar wrote:You want us to skew the dog? What the hell do you think we do around here all day?
How big of a skewer do you reckon it would take?
I'm now gone to vote again.

Re: Poll skew for my brother's dog
I just voted for Hobart and voted a "1" on the fellas and gals above him. He's now moved into a three way tie with two other pooches with a "6.0". A few more "1"s for them and "10"s for Hobart, and he could take the place all alone.

Re: Poll skew for my brother's dog
So Hobart's up to 5th place now, on the top row with a 6.1. My brother is bordering on apoplectic, and I still don't think he believes me that my internet friends and I are almost entirely responsible for it.
Well done, everyone, and keep it coming!!!

Re: Poll skew for my brother's dog
I just casted another round of votes: a 10 for Hobart and 1s for all the dogs above him. His score is still 6.1. I'll have to vote from a computer or two at work today! :geek:wilson wrote:So Hobart's up to 5th place now, on the top row with a 6.1. Yep, just looked and voted again. Hobart is a "6.1", now ALL ALONE in fifth place. So, that actually moves him up a bit. ;)

I voted his near followers a 1 just to keep them in the kennel.

Re: Poll skew for my brother's dog
I keep it open in a separate tab and every so often go back and give Hobart a 10 and the other dogs ahead & just behind him 1s. Except Zorra. Sorry, I just can't bring myself to score Zorra down. I don't score Zorra at all... that's my concession.
