Veil Never Never Forever Forever
Double Passionfruit Gose
Love Ninja gets the beer, I get the slushy part.
Love the passionfruit nose.
So fresh, fruity and tropical.
Beer smoothie.
The sourness of the supposed underlying gose style offsets the rich sweetness of the passionfruit nicely.
The finish is just a kiss of salt.
All these Veil beers are an interesting study.
If you were pouring the whole 16oz can in a single glass, the experience would be different.
The clarified pour is brighter, more acidic, and more sour.
The sludgy pour is fruitier, more mellow, and with a heftier mouthfeel.
The clear pour is far more gose like, and extreme.
The sludgy pour is an entity unto itself, unless the oft mentioned beer smoothie is a category.
At risk of “wasting” a Veil beer, I am becoming somewhat interested in a shake before opening approach.
Regardless, another hit from the Veil.
Thanks again, Compass Rose Brew Crew!
