Man, that sucks.
Vibes that you can get it to work. If I had any advice I would give it.

Holy crap! I think I got it to work. I found a port that said "lexmark pro200-5000x" or something like that. I clicked on it. Under devices and printers, it still calls it USB, and it still says it's offline. However, I can communicate with the printer and print to it and scan from it despite this. So, cross my fingers and toes, I THINK I got it to work. We shall see if it continues to work. Anybody know how to get it to say Online and switch from USB to network on its name, WITHOUT me destroying the tiny progress I've made? ;)

Since you know the printer is successfully connected to the network (thus the need for the USB in the first place, to program it offline), I would uninstall it entirely from your computer, and then reinstall using the "add printer wizard". If you are using Windows 10, adding a network printer can be goofy, because you have to type in "advanced printing" in the search bar to bring up that option. But...it should get you working without any reference to a USB port.

Haha! Same principle still applies, though. Delete the printer, then re-add using the add printer wizard. Windows 7 is good for finding network printers on its own.
