We drop her off in Greensboro with my cousin tomorrow, and he will take her home. Then we drive to RDU and head off for sunnier climes on the Carnival Imagination out of Miami to Cozumel and Key West. This is B's birthday present.

I'm glad that LawMom is going to be okay.
Have so much fun on your cruise! I'm just a little bit jelly. ;)

Thank you for the good Mom vibes. We will try to have fun!

The weird thing is, I don't have any schadenfreude about the UNC loss. I'm just happy that they lost.

After last year's annoying obsession with "Honey Badger" Brent raised his game from obsessive compulsive to 'creepy old uncle' last night.
Brent needs to have retirement party.

They said on the radio today that she went from 3000 twitter followers to 96000 during the game, and that her phone died because she received an email every time she got a new follower and the notifications killed the battery.
This article says she had 123K by the end of the night.

At least Brent has good taste. But yeah, I thought he went overboard a bit last night. If I noticed, everyone noticed...
Here's a bit of Duke trivia for you.
LIKE Duke Men's Basketball trivia? Here's one to get you ready for tonight's game (Clemson, 7pm, ESPNU) -- 95 of 103 recruited scholarship Duke players under Coach K have been on a team ranked No. 1 in the AP Poll for at least 1 week.

I've fallen in love with Quin Cook's play. And he seems to find the trailer in transition like no other player since Hurley. On that note, here is ANOTHER cool Duke Trivia piece you may not have realized:
"Cook is averaging 6.2 assists per game, with a 2.7 assists-to-turnover ratio and 10.3 points a game. The only Blue Devil players to average at least six assists and 10 points per game are Bobby Hurley, Jason Williams, and Chris Duhon." - News & Observer.
Not too shabby.

They used that one during the last game I listened to on radio. Which was Saturday's game I think. They all seem to blend together after a while.

OOOOOOOH... from our days at Duke, Cathy, here are a few of them:
Greg Wendt
Doug McNeely
Richard Ford (but was he recruited?)
After that, the only one off the top of my head was Joey Beard (came in with Newton).

Richard wasn't recruited. He was a walk-on who eventually earned a scholarship.
So, the six I can think of are Doug McNeely, Greg Wendt, Jay Bryan, Danny Meagher, Todd Anderson, Bill Jackman.
WHO ARE THE OTHER TWO? Could they be players who were recruited and left before playing any time on a number one ranked squad? Bill Jackman was in the class of 1986, but he returned to Nebraska before the team achieved its number one ranking.

Could one be Trajan Langdon? He was recruited but I don't believe he was on scholarship. He had a minor league baseball contract with the Padres organization that called for them to pay for his college.
