After further review, Mom feels like she can hear about as well with one hearing aid as she did with two. She had an appointment with the hearing aid people next week, so maybe she can move it up.
We drop her off in Greensboro with my cousin tomorrow, and he will take her home. Then we drive to RDU and head off for sunnier climes on the Carnival Imagination out of Miami to Cozumel and Key West. This is B's birthday present.
Have so much fun on your cruise! I'm just a little bit jelly. ;)

They said on the radio today that she went from 3000 twitter followers to 96000 during the game, and that her phone died because she received an email every time she got a new follower and the notifications killed the battery.

Here's a bit of Duke trivia for you.

Re: LTE 2.0
I've fallen in love with Quin Cook's play. And he seems to find the trailer in transition like no other player since Hurley. On that note, here is ANOTHER cool Duke Trivia piece you may not have realized:OZZIE4DUKE wrote: LIKE Duke Men's Basketball trivia? "Cook is averaging 6.2 assists per game, with a 2.7 assists-to-turnover ratio and 10.3 points a game. The only Blue Devil players to average at least six assists and 10 points per game are Bobby Hurley, Jason Williams, and Chris Duhon." - News & Observer.
Not too shabby.

They used that one during the last game I listened to on radio. Which was Saturday's game I think. They all seem to blend together after a while.

Greg Wendt
Doug McNeely
Richard Ford (but was he recruited?)
After that, the only one off the top of my head was Joey Beard (came in with Newton).

Richard wasn't recruited. He was a walk-on who eventually earned a scholarship.Lavabe wrote:OOOOOOOH... from our days at Duke, Cathy, here are a few of them:CathyCA wrote:Who are the 8 who were not?OZZIE4DUKE wrote:At least Brent has good taste. So, the six I can think of are Doug McNeely, Greg Wendt, Jay Bryan, Danny Meagher, Todd Anderson, Bill Jackman. WHO ARE THE OTHER TWO? Could they be players who were recruited and left before playing any time on a number one ranked squad? Bill Jackman was in the class of 1986, but he returned to Nebraska before the team achieved its number one ranking.

Could one be Trajan Langdon? He was recruited but I don't believe he was on scholarship. He had a minor league baseball contract with the Padres organization that called for them to pay for his college.
