Billy Mays passes away...

TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa police say Billy Mays, the television pitchman known for his boisterous hawking of products such as Orange Glo and OxiClean, has died. He was 50.

Authorities say Mays was pronounced dead Sunday morning after being found by his wife at home. There were no signs of a break-in, and investigators do not suspect foul play. The coroner's office expects to have an autopsy done by Monday afternoon.

Mays' wife, Deborah Mays, says the family doesn't expect to make any public statements and asked for privacy.

Apparantely he may have died because he didn't wear his seat belt while his plane was landing. Seriously.

That being said, unless he was in the aisle seat (possible) I don't see how wearing his seat belt would have been the cause for a head hit unless he went flying up and hit the overhead compartment. Wow, how sad. I had always heard that these things come in threes. I was thinking Farrah and Michael and wondering where the third one would come from. I know he's not on their level, but I did like his ESPN internet commercials. I thought those were hilarious. And don't forget the big city sliders!

It's kinda sad after the way Natasha Richardson, Liam Neeson's wife, died. Didn't she die the same way, only it was from hitting her head while skiing. You'd think people would have learned from that that they need to take hits to the head seriously.

K68 and I can't stand repetitive things like the beginning of that commercial. Drove me nuts seeing/hearing that commercial.
