The guy you are prosecuting for kicking (the kicker) has only one leg, or the defendant (the kickee) has only one leg? Makes a difference!lawgrad91 wrote:I'm prosecuting a guy next week for assault and battery for kicking another guy.
Why, you ask, is this so odd?
The defendant was in a motorcycle accident a couple of years ago. He only has one leg. I don't think he's coordinated enough to manage that....

I would PAY to have this on video. Then I'd put it on YouTube, assuming it isn't already.DukieInKansas wrote:This prosecution is no fun without video!lawgrad91 wrote:I'm prosecuting a guy next week for assault and battery for kicking another guy.

The kicker/defendant has one leg. (Meanie that I am, I prosecuted him for DUI in the wreck where he lost his leg. He was high and slid his motorcycle under a pickup truck, then sat in the wreckage and texted his friends. Didn't stop texting even when the trooper pointed out his leg was gone.)OZZIE4DUKE wrote:The guy you are prosecuting for kicking (the kicker) has only one leg, or the defendant (the kickee) has only one leg? So you're prosecuting him twice, once for DUI and then again for assault and battery, a completely separate case?lawgrad91 wrote:The kicker/defendant has one leg. I already prosecuted him for the DUI, which was a couple years ago. I've prosecuted him a lot of times for different things.

Bwahahahahaha!
I'd like to be the defense attorney on this one.
Why are you even prosecuting it? Why not take a voluntary dismissal?

Happy Saturday morning, y'all! I'm taking a break from cleaning house to drink a nice glass of ice water. Also waiting to hear from Lavabe - we're going to Ted Drewes!
