Roast, carrots and potatoes that I cooked in the crock pot.

My house smells so good.

I flavored it with an envelope of Lipton Onion Soup mix. And some wine.

FWIW, the episode of "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" currently airing on Food Network has as one of its features "California fish tacos in Charlotte".

Steaks on the grill. Good, thick, bone-in ones, with a nice lip of fat (to be trimmed prior to consumption). Cooking with the lid on and a nice, low, gentle heat flowing through. Baked potatoes in the oven, salad ready to go. =p~

Better to have a lip of fat than a fat lip. :9f:

I cooked supper tonight on my grill: a turkey burger and broccoli. I cooked the broccoli in an aluminum foil packet; I just drizzled on a bit of olive oil and added some seasoned salt. It was yummy. Have I mentioned lately that I love my new grill?

I had a well-balanced dinner tonight. It was a $12 Salade Nicoise and $12 worth or beer (2 beers) at http://www.monkscafe.com/. I'm at a continuing education meeting. Meals are business expenses :D . Would anyone care to guess where the beers will be described?

I've lost 10 lbs since Christmas, 15 lbs since starting my diet (Weight Watchers). However, I'd love to hear what Tilly's eating, too.

This is what I'm having for dinner. And breakfast tomorrow. And probably lunch and dinner, too. I love chili.

Amelia and I made Greek salad, homemade hummus and falafel, and tabbouleh for late lunch, followed by a bag full of doubleheader survival kit snacks at Turner Field, and late night falafel sammiches upon our return home. 'Twas delicious, and I scored some pretty serious points with her family.

Sounds like a lot of garlic! Hope your snack kit contained some gum? ;)

We've been working on eating through our chest freezer before the big move next weekend. Tonight we turned the chuck roast into a nice beef and three-bean chili. With cornbread.

I also found a big bag of arborio rice in the pantry, so I spontaneously made some rice pudding.

Later this week I will do something with the whole turkey and the two racks of ribs - which represent the last of the meat in the freezer. We've worked out eating through our stash pretty well.
