July 4th fireworks with the Arch... try some long exposure time photos of fireworks with the Arch (get yourself a good tripod if you don't have one already).ArkieDukie wrote:My big dilemma: what to do for the 4th of July weekend? Re: LTE 2.0
I'm leaning toward staying put. If I hadn't taken a 4-day weekend 2 weeks ago I'd be all over it, but I'm still a bit worn out from that trip. Besides, I have a ton of stuff to do - I'm still getting caught up from being gone before. Rest sounds good, and I won't get much of it if I spend 12 hours of the weekend driving.lawgrad91 wrote:What did you decide?ArkieDukie wrote:My big dilemma: what to do for the 4th of July weekend? That sounds like a good idea. Note to self: must buy tripod. My 35mm lens would probably rock for photos of fireworks. It's the cheapest lens I have in my camera bag and it takes some of the best pictures. Go figure.Lavabe wrote:July 4th fireworks with the Arch... try some long exposure time photos of fireworks with the Arch (get yourself a good tripod if you don't have one already).ArkieDukie wrote:My big dilemma: what to do for the 4th of July weekend? I'll be at the beach too...hiding at home. I hate the holiday weekends here, too many people. If I still lived on the island like DukePA, I'd go to the grocery store now and stock up, treat it like a snow storm.ArkieDukie wrote:That sounds like fun. Re: LTE 2.0
Got back to Smithfield about 9:30. Went by Burger King to get some dinner, but it was closed, as was Ruby Tuesday's across the street (US 70 Bus @ I-95 exit #95). Then we realized that all the restaurants in town would be closed because of the boil water thing - we saw it on the web while in Ft. L. Ended up at Bojangle's in Selma - they don't have Smithfield waterTillyGalore wrote:When you get home, you may need to start boiling some water: http://www.wral.com/news/news_briefs/story/7885179/.OZZIE4DUKE wrote:Good morning.Road trip day - headed home today!

Glad to be home. I'll unpack tonight, but other stuff will get put away tomorrow, or Sunday. Maybe.

For a measly $1, the sausage burrito at McDonald's is pretty good! Sausage, egg, cheese. Don't know if they put any secret ingredients in it or not.YmoBeThere wrote:If one were to make a breakfast burrito, what should one put in said burrito?
