Sure is, Cathy. What are you doing for the 4th?
I'm going to the beach!

July 4th fireworks with the Arch... try some long exposure time photos of fireworks with the Arch (get yourself a good tripod if you don't have one already). :-BD

What did you decide?
I'm leaning toward staying put. If I hadn't taken a 4-day weekend 2 weeks ago I'd be all over it, but I'm still a bit worn out from that trip. Besides, I have a ton of stuff to do - I'm still getting caught up from being gone before. Rest sounds good, and I won't get much of it if I spend 12 hours of the weekend driving.

That sounds like a good idea. Note to self: must buy tripod. My 35mm lens would probably rock for photos of fireworks. It's the cheapest lens I have in my camera bag and it takes some of the best pictures. Go figure.

I've been busy breaking my neck on the Nordictrack and walking my dogs.
One more day to go and the long weekend begins!

I'll be at the beach too...hiding at home. I hate the holiday weekends here, too many people. If I still lived on the island like DukePA, I'd go to the grocery store now and stock up, treat it like a snow storm.

When you get home, you may need to start boiling some water: http://www.wral.com/news/news_briefs/story/7885179/.
Got back to Smithfield about 9:30. Went by Burger King to get some dinner, but it was closed, as was Ruby Tuesday's across the street (US 70 Bus @ I-95 exit #95). Then we realized that all the restaurants in town would be closed because of the boil water thing - we saw it on the web while in Ft. L. Ended up at Bojangle's in Selma - they don't have Smithfield water :D . Also went to WalMart and bought 3 gallons of drinking water for tonight and tomorrow, but now the ban on drinking our water has been lifted. I guess no one died so they figured we could start drinking it again... :-o

Glad to be home. I'll unpack tonight, but other stuff will get put away tomorrow, or Sunday. Maybe.

No guests have I.

What havoc might I create.

If one were to make a breakfast burrito, what should one put in said burrito?

For a measly $1, the sausage burrito at McDonald's is pretty good! Sausage, egg, cheese. Don't know if they put any secret ingredients in it or not.
