Spring Game Brunchgate March 26th

Ah spring! Hopefully we'll be watching both a basketball tourney victory and the football spring game and enjoying the first Brunchgate of the 2011 football season on a fine spring afternoon! The Iron Dukes are putting our official tent up and CB&B is bringing his grill. I'll be there and I think it's a great day for burgers and dogs! Use this new thread to sign up for attendance and menu items you're bringing!

I think we will be there. I doubt seriously we will make the journey to one of the regionals for any MBB games. I'd love to have some sausages/bratwursts on the grill, sauerkraut and some redskin or German potato salad. Slaw would be tasty, too. Cole slaw, that is, not dpslaw

I'll be there..my dad will probably join us. (As long as he is in town.) I'm trying to get a few folks to join us from OY, they might show up for the game too, I'll know more on that soon.

Jim will be there and he is still trying to figure out what to bring. I have a meeting on campus that won't end until close to 3pm so I will see you at the game.

My son has a birthday party to attend in Hillsborough until 4pm. If that gets boring we may come, but I cannot commit. Maybe we can come at the end. I have VDB's cell phone as well as Ozzy's, so I will call to hook up if we make it.

Grrr..Duke plays Arizona Thursday. IF we win, that means we will be playing on Saturday. Unless we play after 8PM on Saturday..my chances for attendance with cooking and cleanup intentions are going to take a serious hit.

Dear Coach Cut...next year..please do not schedule this during basketball season.

I am going to be working on a Habitat for Humanity house on Saturday, so won't make the Spring Game. I look forward to seeing you all in the Fall, though.

Well this sucks....
Here are the times posted for the Saturday games.
SAT, MAR 26 4:20 PM ET (#) TBD, (#) TBD
SAT, MAR 26 6:55 PM ET (#) TBD, (#) TBD

No idea of which of those is ours..I would guess the 7pm game since we are out west.
I'm scooting on to Greensboro after the football game, and I ain't missing a minute of basketball. As long as I leave the lot by 5:30, I'll be good to go. So it looks like some dogs on the grill for pregame, but not much beyond that since I can't spend too long cleaning up.

P.S. If the women win tonight, they will most likely be playing Saturday as well. If their game is during football, then I'm skipping Spring game all together. Grrrrrrrr.

Yeah, if we win Thursday night I will most likely be trying to hook up with some local Blue Devils to watch the Saturday game. I would think we would get the 6pm slot, but who knows what programming issues exist for Saturday for CBS.

With Spring practices about to come to an end I'm not sure there is much flexibility in scheduling this outside of tournament time.

The problem is that like last year, Cut chose to start Spring practice earlier than any other team, by at least a month. His reasoning is sound, his timing sucks. All he had to do was wait 2 weeks.

All the football team has to do is make a fucking bowl game and he'll schedule spring practice for later in the spring. Oh, wait, that's his responsibility too... the winning enough games to make a bowl game part.

I got an email from Chris K today. The tent will be up by 12:30 and will be on the grass side of the side walk. Parking in the Card Lot will be first come, first served, so get there early. I'll be there and will bring burgers for - do we have a count yet? I'll get package of the Cosco 1/4 pound hot dogs too.

WOW...the women did win (WHEW) and they got gifted with a Sunday game!! I still can't stay long...maybe not even for the game itself..but I want to see everyone. So I will be there pregame for sure, and I'd like to see the Devil's walk. Except the Devil will be in Anaheim. Or is it Philly? Hmmmm...
