Hot Sauce

Post by wilson » February 18th, 2011, 2:04 pm

What is your hot sauce preference? I love hot sauce. All different kinds. However, I am of the opinion that Tabasco stands at the very summit of Hot Sauce Mountain (one of my favorite places).

I LOVE Tabasco but for whatever reason, I, EarlJam, usually find myself using the slightly milder Texas Pete or Frank's Red Hot sauce. Not sure why really.

Tabasco is hot but not THAT hot. Maybe it's becase the latter comes in bigger bottles (seriously).

I love both of them though. I, EarlJam, also LOVE hot sauces and used to love going to the hot sauce specialty stores that were in malls in the 1990s and early 2000s. I think the economy did them in though. I could be wrong. Kind of like wines and beer, and lotion, I like experimenting with the different brands.

I totally forgot about Frank's when making the poll. A pretty glaring omission on my part. Any cook who really knows will tell you that Frank's is the sauce to use as your base when making your own buffalo wings.

I love me some spicy goodness....why I hang out with EJ!!!! What about Dave's insanity sauce?? Remember those? They had some over-the-top sauces that should have been deemed hazardous to your health, but they did have some good stuff also.

Has EJ showed you the picture of his cock yet?

I love Tabasco as well, but unless I do the shopping when we run out we end up with Texas Pete.

Texas Pete is my favorite. I also like Tabasco Green but only on home made tacos. I also use TP on spaghetti, chili and vegetable beef soup. :duke:

I like my wings medium. One drop of Frank's sauce on an entire wing is about right... :-o

Good timing. I am just about to sit down to a dinner of venison stir fry. Rooster sauce will be a prime part of this meal. I love hot sauces and rooster sauce is one of my favorites for just about everything including soups and stir fry. Used it on mac n cheese last night. Man, was that good. :twocents:

I'd also like to see Boston College be able to score more than 26 points in 30 minutes. :9f:
