The latest forecast models for this neck of the woods, shows that temperatures Tuesday will be higher than first expected and precip, beginning midday, will mostly be just a rain event. :D

It's snowing in St. Louis! :happy-bouncyblue: Lots of big flakes coming down (see picture on Facebook). Forecast is for 1-2" but I'm hoping for a bit more.

What a bust of a forecast - no snow to speak of overnight.

We got maybe an inch of snow yesterday. I'm bummed.

Our weather forecast for this week: ice tomorrow into Tuesday, turning into snow, with snow Tuesday-Wednesday. 1/2-3/4" ice, 6-12" snow. :twitch:

Yesterday, it got to 68 degrees here with Sunshine.
Today, it will struggle to make it to 40.

I blame St. John's.

Yesterday was another beautiful springlike day here in Atlanta, with temperatures nudging ever-so-close to 70 again. Today, we're back down in the lower 50s, with a thick, heavy drear hanging about the place. Forecast calls for more of the same, with another downward temperature bump back into the low/mid-40s for the remainder of the week.

The past few days have indeed been encouraging. There was abundant sunshine most of the time. Temperatures warmed to seasonal levels or a bit higher. Today is like a new dose of reality with the high to be in the mid-thirties.... we're within a degree of the high at 10A, same temperature has been the reading since at least 8A this morning. The possibility of some sort of frozen precipitation seems to have an eerie coordination with home games at Duke.

There is a major storm expected in the Saint Louis area perhaps tomorrow, possibly bringing lots of ice followed by snow. I hope that by the time this storm reaches North Carolina that our mountains will tame it and prevent us from dealing with yet another nasty winter weather event.

Yeah, we're about to get pasted too. Not looking forward to it as I fucking hate snow! Winter sucks. Hopefully it will end early this year so I am keeping good thoughts for Groundhog Day (which is also the day of this week's storm!).

We are on the border between 14 inches of snow or a couple inches of freezing rain. I will take the snow any time. Ice leads to power outages.

I can assure you that the storm has arrived in St. Louis. We're getting freezing rain right now and have been since around noon. Roads aren't horrible right now, but there's ice on trees, cars, etc. It's supposed to keep this up until tomorrow, at which time it will transition to snow. Local TV station just said 5-10 inches of snow and up to 1 inch of ice. Areas just north of us are under a blizzard warning and could receive up to 20 inches of snow.
