Front page hacked

Dammit, someone hacked our front page last night, or early this morning. I've emailed the folks at the hosting company to have them restore the index file from backup. Grrrrrr.

How do they do that? And what info was taken? I am not computer tech savvy at all!

To be honest, I'm almost flattered that our tiny little corner of the interweb attracted enough attention for someone to bother hacking it.

The supprt people at the webhost said it looks they hacked the Wordpress theme, so I'll have to reinstall it when I get home today. No idea how they got in.

I guess that explains why the front page looks so bizarre, and why I had to get here from the link on FB.

For a bit I thought I was losing my mind. Well, maybe I am, but at least this isn't confirmation.

Well for a while today there was a whole lotta nothing to look at. I've got it back up and running, but our previous theme is corrupted, so I've had to swap it, so I have lots of editing to do now. The asshole that hacked it also removed the previous users, luckily I was able to go into the user database and edit his user to my own, and then regain control. This sucks. Now I've got to recreate the users that JH and others used to post their stories.

Thanks, but I don't do much. Contributions from JH and MHT during basketball season help alot with the men and women. Anyone who would like to add a voice, let me know. Football really needs a contributor.
