Tandoori Chicken Chili (made from a friend's recipe) over jasmine rice. Yummy - and boy does it pack a punch!

Boiled shrimp, steamed brocolli and carrots with lemon-butter sauce and twice-baked potatoes, accompanied by a glass of Sierra Nevada's Northern Hemisphere Wet Hop Ale, but that's another post.

Maybe a salad, nothing else.
Lunch was Cheesecake Factory. Vietnamese taco appetizer. Bowl of soup, salad, half a chicken salad sandwich. White chocolate macadamia nut cheesecake. (That explains the maybe a salad.)

Homemade canadian bacon pizza. Also have 9 pre-baked crusts in the oven - fast supper during the week!

I went for Persian food with the family. My rack of lamb was scrumptious, but the service sucked.

I miss fish tacos. Nobody can get it right our here.DevilAlumna wrote:Red snapper fish tacos with corn tortillas, shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, avocado, etc. Ymmm.
Kelly's brother and I were talking about how lame it is that there's a complete lack of quality Baja and Mexicali inspired food. All we get is uninspired TexMex. Of all things culinary I miss from leaving the left coast, fish tacos are at the top of the list.

We have a number of places in Atlanta who prepare fish tacos quite ably. Seems that Charlotte oughtta have at least one or two.Miles wrote:Of all things culinary I miss from leaving the left coast, fish tacos are at the top of the list.

Re: What's for dinner?
I made bacon this morning. I've been snacking on it all day. For dinner, I will finish the meal with eggs and hash browns.
I don't like St. John's.

Re: What's for dinner?
You're chef extraordinaire - why not make your own? We did. I used this recipe as a basis for the fish portion, but I added quite a bit of hot sauce to the lime juice for marinade.Miles wrote:I miss fish tacos.
