Boiled shrimp, steamed brocolli and carrots with lemon-butter sauce and twice-baked potatoes, accompanied by a glass of Sierra Nevada's Northern Hemisphere Wet Hop Ale, but that's another post.

Lunch was Cheesecake Factory. Vietnamese taco appetizer. Bowl of soup, salad, half a chicken salad sandwich. White chocolate macadamia nut cheesecake. (That explains the maybe a salad.)

I ate lunch at the Cheesecake Factory today, too! I had the Boston salad and Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake. YUM!

Kelly's brother and I were talking about how lame it is that there's a complete lack of quality Baja and Mexicali inspired food. All we get is uninspired TexMex. Of all things culinary I miss from leaving the left coast, fish tacos are at the top of the list.

We have a number of places in Atlanta who prepare fish tacos quite ably. Seems that Charlotte oughtta have at least one or two.

You're chef extraordinaire - why not make your own? We did. I used this recipe as a basis for the fish portion, but I added quite a bit of hot sauce to the lime juice for marinade.
