Nothing yet.

Sigh. I so wanted the magic of a white Christmas. . .

Looks like it'll be a foot here - not the 20"+ NYC is expecting - but the winds of 20-30 MPH with gusts over 40 MPH are what will make it very interesting.

I'm glad I brought my boots with me this year. Last year when we got whacked with 2 feet on our trip to NJ all I had were my sneakers and no one up here wears 14s that I could borrow from. Thinking ahead this year!

Greg Fishel is an honorable man. These were taken about an hour ago and it's coming down steadily since. We have about 4 inches now.

That red car out on the street belongs to my Son in Law's brother, Wesley. He's a student at NC State. He stayed with us last night, driving down from Boone. He'll drive up to Raleigh in a little while. He has to. He has to catch a bus. The band bus. The band is going to Disney World today. He plays trumpet in the State Marching Band and the Wolf Pack plays in the Champs Sports Bowl game in Orlando later in the week. At least they are driving south. Safe travels to them.

At least 6" here in Raleigh and still snowing. I'm not sure if I should :occasion-snowman: or :(( . The city will be "paralyzed" for days.

At least the snow got a late start there. It's been snowing here without let up since before noon yesterday. The rate has change to an occasional flake now, but this weather event is expected to continue into the afternoon. The main road beside my house has been plowed leaving snow walls for people to overcome when they do try to get out.

Sometime I'll be out trying to shovel the driveway and sidewalk. I used up the last of the ice melt yesterday..... tried to get more over the past couple of weeks, but there was a shortage of every size bag except for the 50#. How could there be a shortage of ice melt in December? We started winter weather early in the month!

We are having a squall at the moment. I don't have any ice melt. I do have two young people that could shovel. Not sure that'll happen. No plowing has been done here out in the hinterlands.

Our house, from the street.

Oh, Patrick is driving his brother Wesley up to Raleigh so he can catch the team us to Orlando. He's driving their AWD Sienna van. Such a nice brother.

We have at least 5 in. and it's still snowing but seems to have slowed down. It's beautiful. From the weather report, it shouldn't be here too long.

We measured about 6-7" in various places about our abode. Just finished shoveling the driveway with CLD and dukediv2011. Such a nice couple :-* :ymhug: .

It is 4 degrees here now (at 1:39am), is supposed to be 7 degrees Friday, and 8 degrees Saturday. It is also supposed to rain quite a bit over the next day or two so the little bit of snow we've had, which is already melting, will be completely gone by the end of the weekend. Not too damned bad for Ontario at New Year's.

Dry here right now. Dry in Raleigh, Mrs. Ozzie went to work on schedule, but took an overnight bag with her in case she gets stuck there, a la 2005's 1/4" devastating snow storm... Seriously. I'm supposed to go to Graham/Burlington later today, and still hope to. We'll see. Need to make a sale! I'm taking a bag with me too IF I go, just in case...
