The weather conditions are unnerving. I hope every one stays safe. :ymhug:

There have been so many watches, warnings and alerts over the past 24 hours that I've lost count. One meteorologist said that if the storm which is causing all the severe weather had developed over water it would be a Category 3 hurricane. Instead, this monster storm has been moving over the landmass known as the continental United States. Currently in this part of the western Piedmont, we have a tornado watch until 9:30P.
And in the Triangle until 2 a.m. I was in Greensboro this afternoon when the tornado was west of WS heading NE. Glad it missed you, DitBD!
I was in Costco when the tornado came through.

It's October 27 at almost 11 PM and the temperature is still 77 in Raleigh. I do not like this kind of unstable weather.

The worst of it for Durham looks to stay just south of where I live. Goody for me!

We have another warm, still day, but no weather alerts. The high will be between 75 and 80 with lower level of humidity.

It's partly sunny here in the varnish zone, at the moment. My car wash guy called me this morning and told me that the rain is over, if I wanted my car washed today. FWIW, he's usually pretty accurate with his forecasting; I typically tell him "no" when the weather looks bad and it ends up being a pretty day.

Nothing here; it all went east of us. However, it's awfully cloudy right now. And I would swear that it's colder now than went I went to Target at 9:00 a.m.

We're on a short break from the falling snow. Radar shows more coming. Weather Channel predicts snowfall continuing into tonight. :ymparty:

Back to steady light, peppery snow falling. Do you think the people in the Dean Dome will be stranded there?

Why, it's a winter wonderland here. Started getting up leaves at Mom's house, 45 minutes into it and I'm gettin' wet. I had to hustle back home, only to discover that the meteor missed the Earth. Damn! :-o

The Devils better start shooting better. Too many open looks for Butler. Too many heads up too many butts right now. I imagine there's a coaching staff that'll be wearing some mighty hoarse sounding voice boxes when this is done.

C'mon Devils! :happy-bouncyblue:

There is another little break with only light snow falling northwest of WS.

Just checked the weather radar..... this storm stretches back into Indiana. As it moves east, this storm continues to hold up despite the mountains and other topographical interruptions.

I got pictures on my phone of snow on my grill and deck of about 1" of snow in Smithfield, NC today. December 4th, 2010. Write that down and remember that - doesn't happen very often :happy-bouncyblue: .
