We had fish tacos and shrimp tacos last night.

Tonight's dinner is lasagna...for a dozen or so. Thanksgiving 'Eve' Tradition. Put it together last night and it is now in the 'fridge letting the flavors blend. Garlic bread. Salad. Chocolate cream pie. There's gonna be plenty - stop by around 7 :D

My cousin and her boyfriend are coming from Va. Beach for Thanksgiving today. They are taking us out to dinner at Southern Exposure in Faison, NC. It's a wonderful restaurant. Terrific crab cakes, shrimp and grits and lots of other main dishes. Southern Exposure to not far off 1-40 on the way to Wilmington.

Uh-oh. I skipped dessert.

Isn't Cab good for my heart? :9f:

Last night's dinner was a pork loin sandwich.

And, yes, the Cab is leftover. I can drink a bottle and a half of Chardonnay in one sitting. With Cabernet, it's maybe two glasses in an entire evening. I've decided to switch to red wine for the caloric and heart benefits.

The red wine that I really adore is Malbec.

I never liked red wine when I was younger. I wonder why my palate is changing.

US Malbecs or South American?
Must be the aging process. Err, maturing process. Err, fine palate appreciation of quality fermented products. Yea, the last one. :D

Try the Falling Star Malbec. It's an inexpensive, and quite delicious Malbec. It's our standard go-to wine.

I have bought several different SA Malbecs for my wife, ranging from $10-18/bottle and that's before the 15% case discount. She hasn't declined any of them nor has she ever told me any that I should never buy again. I just can't remember them.

We went to Southern Exposure Restaurant in Fasion. YUM. I had a crab cake and Kobe steak. OMG, it was wonderful. Basically no filling in the lump meat crab cake. The steak was done to perfection (median rare. Any one traveling I-40 South towards Wilmington, should stop for lunch or dinner. You won't be sorry. :happy-bouncyblue:

Grilled pork tenderloin, fresh steamed green beans, sweet potato casserole, cranberry apple relish/compote, rolls. I don't need Thanksgiving dinner.
