I made lasagna and we had a baby green salad with ranch dressing.

I'm having an interesting concoction for supper: spaghetti squash with an Alfredo-based sauce containing chicken, spinach, broccoli, and salsa. The salsa gives it color and a small amount of kick. This is the first time I've used this sauce with spaghetti squash. It works pretty well! Before anyone asks for a recipe, I don't have one. I just mix stuff together until it looks right. It's actually based loosely on a pizza that's served at a local chain in central AR.

Chinese tonight: Tai Chine Chicken in brown garlic sauce, served over brown basmati rice. Toss in the hot and sour soup.

On the grill...veggies (similar to the mix at brunchgate) with cut steak. Beautiful night to spend in front of an open flame cooking.

We had pizza. It was good and very simple. Nice for a change. :)

I made an asparagus chicken stir fry that I was extremely pleased with -- used honey instead of a dash of sugar and some "Chinese bbq" sauce, loads of garlic and no ginger. I tend to get in a rut with my cooking, so I was happy to have a new tweak to add to the bag of tricks.

Tonight's menu:

Pork loin
Twice-baked sweet potatoes
Haricots verts
Baby salad greens with fruit (not sure which fruit I'm using yet)
Crescent rolls (Christian loves them)

Turkey vegetable soup my neighbor made and sent over yesterday. I'll make some cornbread to go with it.

Wan Fu Chinese restaurant in Charlotte. Beef with broccoli, and teriyaki beef on skewers that you grill over a little fire.

Sounds yummy! I have a package of the PF Chang beef with broccoli in my freezer. If you haven't tried it, it's pretty darn good.

=p~ =p~ Delish!

Taking Mom to PF Chang's when we do our Christmas shopping. It's one of her faves. Hopefully this year she will want her own dinner, instead of suggesting we split one and then eating the lion's share!

A 5 day old bananana with peanut butter, a small bowl of home made mac and cheese and a 1/2 can of some fancy low-cal vegetable soup. Hey, we ate too well at Brunchgate yesterday (3 meals!), went to the game tonight, Mrs. DD did not feel like cooking and we're spending too much money on weddings :(( .

We had "lupper" around 2:30. I made shrimp scampi, black-eye peas, roasted potatoes and salad.
