1st True Brunchgate--Duke vs. Miami Social Topics
The game will be at 1pm on ESPN3. We'll wait until next week to post the menu thread. Brunchgates are fun...but Lunchgates last longer!

Re: 1st True Brunchgate--Duke vs. Miami Social Topics
Changing the subject a bit, I have one available drop off pass for the Miami game. VDB will not be attending, therefore someone else can use that pass, hopefully someone with enough available space to meet others 3+ hours before the game at a local parking lot and pick up "stuff" from others for transport to Brunchgate. I'm thinking someone who has used VDB's delivery service would want to do this, but I don't know who was, so speak up! As an added bonus, the parking pass holder gets to part in the "Beta" lot across the street from Brunchgate's lot.

Seeing as I'm flying in for the Miami game, a victory over the 'Canes would be great. We beat Maryland last year when I flew in from Japan so I'd like to see the Blue Devils improve to 2-0 in games I've attended this century.OZZIE4DUKE wrote:Ahh, but the after-game victory party can last longer!

Wonder if TNT will be cooking homemade sausage and scrambling eggs this year...
Were there pancakes last year, too?

I remember eating some mighty fine chili last year, is chili a breakfast food? I'd say yes as long as you're drinking beer.devildeac wrote:Stay tuned for menu discussions....

As we discovered last season, beer and donuts definitely do go well together! Even Bud Light and donuts!Bob Green wrote:I remember eating some mighty fine chili last year, is chili a breakfast food? I'd say yes as long as you're drinking beer.devildeac wrote:Stay tuned for menu discussions....

Miles brought the chili. I don't think he's attending the Miami Brunchgate. Stay tuned for menu plans. We usually start discussing them about Monday.Bob Green wrote:I remember eating some mighty fine chili last year, is chili a breakfast food? Re: 1st True Brunchgate--Duke vs. Miami Social Topics
I'm lookin' for tickets. And, rudely, I would prefer not to pay. Anyone who can't make it, for whatever reason, and, you're willing to donate your ticket- I'm your man. If you can't make it and and want to sell your ticket then, please do so. However, if you don't have a buyer come Friday, I'll pay a reasonable sum.
I'm wanting to invite a great number of my neighbors and friends. My last guest, Lt. Col. George Sterling, had such good time at the Army game, it's all he can talk about since. So I'm inviting him and his family (five tickets) again, some very good friends, who love them some Tail/Brunch-gate and Duke football, and a few other undesirables that I have in mind.
So, if you're of a good spirit and open heart and would prefer see your seat occupied rather than your ticket discarded (think about it, by donating your ticket you help the program just from the parking revenue alone ;) ), then give it up and think fondly about how Karma is a boomerang.
If you've got to have some $ for your ticket, I understand and, as long as it's reasonable, if I need your ticket, I'll buy.
Thanks in advance.
Peace,
TNT

The weekend of the Miami game is also Havelock's annual chili cook-off. I'm guessing Miles will be missing both.devildeac wrote:Miles brought the chili.
