DBR thread alert
Someone just started a thread on the DBR called "Is DBR hypocritical?" It addresses the Main Page topic of All-Time Top 10 ACC Losers, or something like that. Any over/under on how long that lasts before the padlock is applied and/or the "on holiday" message appears?  Just sayin'...

I wasn't trying to get myself banned and I did try to be gentle but I wanted to voice my opinion about it all.

Re: DBR thread alert
Well you are allowed to be critical over there so long as you are never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever critical of Duke or anyone related to the program so I guess that Top 10 list is par for the course over there.

Nah, not critical enough, not enough muck raked and not enough details included about any certain individual/s and their hypocritical posting/treatment of posters. Maybe next time. ;)Bostondevil wrote:Let's see if I just got myself banned.

Re: DBR thread alert
What DD said. That thread is merely calling out the front page for posting a negative article. My thoughts on why DBR is hypocritical has nothing to do with what's posted on the main page, only by how it's moderated.devildeac wrote:Nah, not critical enough, not enough muck raked and not enough details included about any certain individual/s and their hypocritical posting/treatment of posters. Re: DBR thread alert
I was reading DevilCastDownfromDurham's post and was thinking I'm not seeing what he's seeing, in that he's saying the mods have been transparent of late. And I was getting ticked off and all ready to post more negativitey here, then the title of that thread resonated with me. "Is DBR Hypocritical". Maybe, maybe not, but at the same time my own hypocrisy crossed my mind when I know I stated many times that this site will not be an anti-DBR site. So I'm holding my own tongue and asking you folks to think before posting similar threads as this. I'm not saying don't bitch about them, they should be called out, but I say call them out ON DBR itself. Risk banning? Sure. But maybe somebody there will be sound minded enough to realize they are wrong. Maybe not. But let's take the higher ground and let CTN be our site FOR us, not ABOUT them.

For what it's worth, check out the Ewill thread there that was closed yestereday (and the questioning why it was closed thread was also closed). Maybe somebody turned a light on over yonder. More suprising was the mod who announced the reopening.

I didn't read anything in the thread that warranted it being closed. Or deleted. Or.......

Re: DBR thread alert
I'd bet what got it closed was "rumor-mongering." I haven't checked again. For all I know, they may have reopened it like CB&B said.OZZIE4DUKE wrote:I didn't read anything in the thread that warranted it being closed. Or deleted. Or.......

Re: DBR thread alert
Getting interesting. Biscuit (I think) posted a rather critical response. Wonder if s/he'll get a "this is the most self-righteous post" blah-blah-blah reply from one of the mods. Stay tuned.
