Re: Poll skew for my brother's dog
Every time I give Hobart a 10, I give surrounding dogs (except Zorra) a 1. How is it that other dogs scores (eventually) change, but Frei stays in first in a stupid Hawaiian shirt with a 6.5 and it never changes?

Re: Poll skew for my brother's dog
I think it has to do with the number of total votes. Frei has something like 14,000, making it much harder to bring his score down with our votes (not that we shouldn't try! ), while it's still relatively easy to up Hobart's composite with one vote among his 1500 or so total.

Ah, you searched much more than I did... then again that's not hard, I didn't search at all.wilson wrote:I think it has to do with the number of total votes. 14,000?! Damn, you need to Facebook Hobart to make up that ground!wilson wrote:I think it has to do with the number of total votes. Frei has something like 14,000.

Re: Poll skew for my brother's dog
Me too! He's tied with those other two dogs at 6.3. If we keep giving him "1"s, we can get him down to fifth and bring the other dogs around him up to third, including the pretty husky/malmute or whatever it is. Keep it up!

Re: Poll skew for my brother's dog
I'm strongly considering submitting Walter for a future monthly feature. I think I'd frame it as "Walter got jealous when Hobart became a star, and wanted the world too know him too." Plus, they said that they loved Hobart's story of how he came into our family, and Walter's is every bit as good.
Re: Poll skew for my brother's dog
Well, Hobart may have just earned himself a "1" vote from me. Little fucker just came back inside just so he could puke up his dinner, right on the edge of the living room rug (all in the fringe...sweet).
Oh well; it's my brother's rug.

Awww, poor guy. Chloe had a bad day too. I've confirmed that I have a lactose-intolerant kitty. Gave her cheese this morning. Bad mommy.wilson wrote:Well, Hobart may have just earned himself a "1" vote from me. Hobart's a semi-regular barfer. Just does that once about every 3 weeks or so. Also elects to skip breakfast 2 or 3 days a week. Vet says he's fine.Sue71 wrote:Awww, poor guy. Walter wonders what the fuck is wrong with any dog who would ever fail to consume a bowl of food in less than 3 minutes, let alone turn it down altogether.

If you barf up your dinner, Katie, my oldest kitty, will be happy to eat it for you.CameronBornAndBred wrote:I should not eat dinner while reading CTN.TillyGalore wrote:All three of my cats barf, though my middle one barfs the most.YmoBeThere wrote:One of my cats is a semi-regular barfer also.

I really like the word "barf". It's just kind of funny. I find it very satisfying to say out loud.

You need to reread wilson's post above. Hobart is a barfer, bless his heart.CameronBornAndBred wrote:Here kitty, kitty.TillyGalore wrote: If you barf up your dinner, Katie, my oldest kitty, will be happy to eat it for you.

Chloe only (changing it up here) pukes once every few months or so. It's either a) a furball or b) stupid mommy gave her something with more than a lick's worth of milk in it.
