Shouldn't this go in the "What's for Dinner" thread?

I think I'll post it there, too.

Half a steak and cheese stromboli from the local pizza joint. A Duncan Hines mini molten caramel cake. I may have a beer (something from Sam Adams) in a bit. The diet doesn't start til midnight.

Last night I had baked flounder. Baked it with lemon juice, then 3/4 through drained the lemon and topped with a mayo/mozzeralla/cheddar sauce combinded with italian breadcrumbs. It was gooooood.

Kelly has been preparing most of the meals lately. Last night she made a delicious Tomato Florentine Soup topped with bleu cheese and garlic croutons, served with stuffed mushroom poppers. I am a lucky man.

Surprisingly, SALMON BURGERS the other night were devoured by LL and me. ILJ didn't like the burgers, as they had too much garlic for her taste.

BTW, the salmon were wild caught, NOT farm-raised. There IS a difference.

The local farmer's market has two varieties of eggplant that I have been stir-frying the last week. Both varieties (one is white, the other is small and is lavender and white) cook well, and cut down on my need for rice.

LOTS of stir-fries lately.

Finally, something worth reporting -- Dal over rice. From this recipe http://budgetbytes.blogspot.com/2010/09 ... e-052.html
Turned out great!! Been taking nibbles all afternoon waiting for dinner to come.
