Vincent Rey will be making his NFL debut tonight playing for the Bengals vs. Dallas. His coaches have been pretty impressed with him this week. Go Vincent!!!

Today we had a wonderful YELLOW watermelon. I also bought a normal pink/red watermelon, as well as an orange one.

Freezer is loaded on the back of the pick up.Lavabe wrote:How did this turn out?captmojo wrote:Off to Mom's for dead freezer removal duties. Then, over to Son of's swinging batchelor pad for to perform grass mowing duties. He's at the beach. Doesn't seem quite fair, do it? I should go do the grass farming at the mountain shack. After all, it has been three weeks. Sheet!
Dig my grave deep, please.
Son of will have to wait another day, at the least.
Mountain shack has waited three weeks...four won't be that much worse.
Went to Home Depot and bought a sheetload o' lumber. Got a guy that's gonna build me some cabinets. When renovations are complete, the First Mate and I will be moving back into the master bedroom that has been vacated by Son of's departure to the swing batchelor pad. Hereafter referred to as SBP.
Grave diggers not yet needed...but keep 'em handy. I know how accident prone I am with saws and hammers and drills around.
So, I forgot to mention the lumber thing. Therefore my score would be 2 of 4. A grand effort by my standards.

are home now, too. Merlin destroyed Sasha's leash and their goody bag while they were staying with Melissa at the Pet Barn, but at least this time he didn't try to escape.
I played Melissa at Pet Barn last week. Your Melissa did better than I did. The 13 year old chocolate lab I watched decided to grab her joint pills off the counter and eat more than her daily allotment. Diarrhea was the main side effect - although she did start jumping around like a much younger pup for a few days.

Life is good!

Second random post, to 850. Eight hundred fifty is just a drop in the bucket compared to DD, but we can all have goals to which we aspire....

We had cupcakes at the Magnolia Bakery in Greenwich Village this afternoon. I ate a red velvet cupcake with the creamiest frosting ever. YUM!

There's a new bakery in Raleigh called The Cupcake Shoppe, IIRC. On your next trip to the capital city, you'll have to stop by and pick up 1/2 dozen. They border on sinful.CathyCA wrote:I'm still defying gravity!ArkieDukie wrote:Welcome back! Still coming down from the high of a fun weekend?CathyCA wrote:I'm home!!!

I do not need to eat any more cupcakes--EVER. They ARE sinful!devildeac wrote: There's a new bakery in Raleigh called The Cupcake Shoppe, IIRC. On your next trip to the capital city, you'll have to stop by and pick up 1/2 dozen. They border on sinful.
But I'd like to try out the cupcakes at The Cupcake Shoppe anyway. . .

All of the food talk around here recently got me to wondering whatever happened to that recipe book we were talking about putting together?

Holy crap! You're right, AD. That MUST be one of the signs of the apocalypse. If you're not careful, DD, you're gonna open the door for Carowhina to win the football AND basketball championships this year! And here I thought we had 'til 2012.ArkieDukie wrote:It's the end of the world as we know it.devildeac wrote:Dang. Running out of responses.

I'm still down to design, layout and assemble. I think we need more recipes. I say we start wrapping it up after football season.colchar wrote:All of the food talk around here recently got me to wondering whatever happened to that recipe book we were talking about putting together?
