Personally, JJ deserves a penalty or a dq or some combination thereof.
Did colchar win yet again?

There is still a long way to go in the summer session. We've flip-flopped the lead the last few weeks so I fully expect to be back in second again after next week.

Newman and Hamlin were handed out fines for critical comments about NASCAR.
Sheesh!!
Just waiting for when JJ gets fined for causing those crashes at Pocono.

Assuming that I am not in Madagascar next July, this might mean a road trip for me and Ymo:

Everyone remember to get your picks in for this week.
I wanted to pick Martin because of his history at this track but I just couldn't do it (sorry Lavabe). I did, however, follow a hunch and made a somewhat risky choice in Group C. Should be interesting.

Just bought tickets to Bristol on August 21. I was surprised at home many good seats are still available. We're sitting row 30 midway between the exit of turn 4 and the start/finish line. Anybody else going?

Saving funds for next year ... if I'm in the US in early July next year, looks like I'll try to see the Kentucky race.

FWIW, the Bristol night race is the best NASCAR event I've ever experienced. I haven't visited most of the tracks, but I've been to Daytona for what was then called the Firecracker 400, Charlotte for the all star race and the 600, and the September Richmond race. All of the events were good, but the night race at Bristol was awesome!
Lavabe, have you seen a Nationwide race at Kentucky? For that matter, I'd be interested to hear about anyone's experience at a particular track and whether they'd recommend the race to others.
A couple of friends (including one guy that used to post OY) and I are planning a trip to Daytona next summer. We're renting an RV in Jacksonville and driving down to stay in the infield.
