I'm just thankful that I only lost 11 points to colchar this week.

By the way, Jeff Gordon is a putz.

On to Pocono!!

ONE good loss by colchar is what's needed? I think two colchar-type massive point wins would be needed to CATCH colchar.

Then again, look what happened to JPM yesterday. He had the race in the bag when he flubbed it (and took out Jr too).

My main goal is to inch up on the percentile rankings against all fantasy league players. From my low of 57th, I am now up to 84th. Would LOVE to hit 90!!

I am still in 2nd place, some 188 points behind colchar. Given that colchar has FIVE wins this season, we little folks need to catch up on the win category, but soon. Or else it will be like this year's Chase... JJ and Hamlin each have 5 wins, and no one else is close. It'll basically be those two and no one else vying for the overall title.

Jack Roush was in a plane crash Tuesday and survived.

Had the crash been in Nevada, I would have wondered if he flew into Huggy Bear, thus breaking Huggy Bear's ribs. ;) ;)

This is the second time Roush has been the pilot of a crashed airplane. Last time he crashed into a lake and would have drowned had a witness not pulled him from the plane. It might be time for Roush to rethink his transportation options.

Weren't both of these in experimental planes? He might want to stick with something made by Boeing or McDonnell-Douglas or Airbus, as opposed to something he built himself.

On further review, he was piloting a Beechcraft this time and a vintage P51 Mustang the last. Neither would be experimental.

(At least I get another post out of this! ;) )

Interestingly, ESPN originally said he was hospitalized for observation, but now says he is in "serious but stable" condition and surgery might be indicated. He must have Bob Huggins' PR staff.

WARNING: smart ass remark to follow

I select one Mr. Fireball Roberts.
He can win any time he wants to these days.

I sat in the Fireball Roberts tower at several of the summer Daytona races.

I gave up on racing when Terry Labonte retired. :auto-layrubber:

RACE DAY!!!

Coverage on ESPN. How was the TNT coverage? Couldn't be worse than the Fox coverage, right?

40-50% chance of a thunderstorm at Pocono today. Unfortunately, there's some rain now, so the start is delayed.

They're on the "Tricky Triangle" and getting ready to race.

ESPN is fascinated by the phrase, TRICKY TRIANGLE. L-)

Freakin competition yellow at Lap 15 to inspect tires.

So far it's JG and JJ, 1 and 2. Burton and Montoya running well.

Kahne and Biff have already scraped the wall.
