Deja Vu, only better!
The tees were back today, and the first hole played 385 instead of 369. Hit a nice drive, but again in the right rough like about, but just over 150 yards to the pin. The pin was in a similar center of green position, maybe a couple of yards deeper than Saturday. There was a tree, a tall tree, between me and the green. I figured that a well hit 7 iron would easily clear it, and I was right. The ball landed on the right side of the green, and with the glare and distance, I couldn't see what happened to the ball, but figured it followed the same right to left slope as the shot on Saturday. As I walked up to the green I didn't see the ball so I knew that the ball either went in the hole or bounded off the green. You can see the result in the picture below! Eagle 2!
...Because it went in. Great shot Oz.
Had it been me, it could only be due to clean living and good luck, of which, I never get...except ONCE.
The only double eagle I'll ever see, described below.
A par 5, only due to the dogleg, not the distance. A fair tee shot with a 4-wood. The second was the killer. It was 225 to the front of the green, with only the right edge visible, a dogleg left. I pulled a 3-iron out and tried to draw it. I never know my own strength. The ball cleared the green and hit a 100ft tall Walnut tree growing behind the green, ricocheted back across the green a rolled into the cup. Holy shiite!

I know it'll never happen again. Sometimes I'd much rather be lucky than good.
