Bummer! I hope there was no other damage from the blowout.

I'm glad you're alive and not injured. I can imagine all sorts of awful scenarios from a blowout.
I am glad I'm alive and not injured too. I wasn't going too fast so I didn't lose control and was able to coast easily into a parking space.

The 5th set so far has taken more time than the previous longest match - 7 hours 6 minutes vs. 6 hours 33 minutes set in the '04 French Open.

EJ - can you play this long?
They are getting ready to resume this match. I wonder how many games they will play today. It would be a little anticlimatic if they played just 2 more.

I hope Isner wins this one although it is hard to root against the French qualifier Mahut. They have played 163 games so far. Nadal played 201 games total in winning the French Open. Quite a comparison.

If it goes beyond 2 more game I'll be surprised. Pleased, but surprised. Who if anyone is broadcasting the match continuation?

The problem with this match is that we've hit the perfect storm. Both are very good, big servers. Both are exhausted. Thus, it will be VERY hard for EITHER player to break the other. Basically, one of them is going to have to get cramps or an injury and have to quit, or one of them is going to have to get so tired he loses control of his serve. It's basically become a war of attrition.

Like, if it had been at that time of day and you had been on I77 around Tyvola. Sheeesh!

I'm off work, relaxing in the A/C at home. I suffered a slight sprain/strain of my right knee yesterday whilst unloading at the Ford store in Shelby. Inflamed and irritated, most of the pain has gone. They didn't actually release me from work. They simply put down that I was elligible for light duty work, no ladder or stair climbing allowed. We don't have any 'light duty' work. It does not exist. I don't complain. I'm gonna like the 4 day weekend, might get to go fishing, hiding and drinking in the shade of a mountain. I might even allow myself to become too drunk to fish. :twitch:

I'm pretty sure that is not possible. You might be too drunk to catch anything, but you can fish in any condition.

I think I could probably get too intoxicated to put the bait on the hook. . .

Or you could fall in, which would be bad, cause if you're too drunk to fish, you're probably too drunk to swim. It's actually a Jeff Foxworthy redneck joke though.

Is anybody else jazzed about the new TRON movie coming out? That was one of my favorite movies as a kid, and I can't wait to see the remake.

There are four of these plants growing in a cluster 2 blocks away from me. And I flew out west to hike in 115 degree heat to find the ones for the painting.

I'm so happy I did.

Beautiful! Those are yuccas I can enjoy. (It took me several years to kill the one in my front yard.)
