Three years ago, my employer asked us to take a 15% pay cut ,for a three years term, in order to help the company emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy. At the end of the term an additional 2% raise was to be included. We voted to accept the terms by a very large majority. The company broke through Chapter 11 4 months later. A request was made to expedite the 'snap back' to original pay rates but denied us due to the term sheet agreement.

Three years ended May 28, 2010. The bungholes then went to court and requested the judge to re-visit for the purpose of forcing us to the negotiating table to re-establish a new pay rate. They claim they're still in financial difficulty.(probably true due to present state of the auto business) Yet, my belief is that their actions have spoken much louder than their words. We had previously shown a willingness to be flexable but this action seems like a slap in the face. If they were sincere, they could have appeared before an understanding group of loyal workers quite some time earlier.

A 72 hour notice of work stoppage was delivered to the company on Monday morning. They have just now announced they will meet the full agreement of pay restoration. Damn shame it takes threat of force to get what you've contracted for when you've spent 3 years bending over backward to satisfy the ungrateful.

A pity you had to go this far to get your company to fulfill its promise. And employers complain about no employee loyalty, yet they do things like this. It's just wrong.... X(

Agreed it shouldn't have taken such action on the workers' part, but it's great to hear you're agreement will be honored.

Ungrateful is right. They should be appreciative that you all stuck with them.

I'm glad things worked out favorably for you.

The slow down seems to correlate to the increase of "Good Morning" posts and Idol reports.

I suggest a new strategy…
1. Let the Wookie win
2. Create an official "Good Morning" thread.
3. Create an Idol thread.
This must have happened - I'm only 40 pages behind.

Ladies and gentlemen, please kick away.
Another round of shin kicks is directed his way. Good for her for moving out. I hope the restraining order works.

How could they cut out the tape measure scene. It is probably the most remembered scene in the movie.
