Just watched Duke spank John's Hopkins in lax, 18-5 on ESPN. The guys are looking pretty strong this year.

Haha, yes I did. My attendance at Duke sporting events this year was a much happier situation!

It was very hot today walking 18. But I had my moments, like birdieing 6, 7 and 8 (pars 3, 5 and 4)! Hadn't done that in quite a while. Like 19 years ago, when I birdied 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9, shooting a 31 on the front 9 and 71 overall, my only round under par (72) ever. Today wasn't like that other than those 3 holes (85), but it was still fun! :ymparty: :ymapplause:

Next, you should add some hops to the garden based on what Cathy linked in the Ymm, Beer thread. :D
Interesting read. It might be fun to grow a few for CB& B-) . Who knows, I might try this next year.

Great job Oz! I was thinking about suggesting a golf outing some time as I was driving by the Quantico Base golf course last week heading back to my office. It is a lot of fun and I am soo out of practice with my gardening tools, but they work! Guess I could improve my score a bit with the latest technology! ;) I've heard the talent follows with the technology of today! =))

Trying to figure out any tips on clipping hedges besides just taking a chain saw to the bushes. Anyone have any tips or tricks? Trimming is one thing, but these really need cutting back!

Chainsaw is the best way for tall bushes.

It must be nice to get on the course and play. I started gold many years ago and loved the game. Had to stop because of my bad ankle. Then my bad knew, now my shoulder. I'm hoping when all is will, I will be back learning to play. :)

I have baby birds in my chimney. I hear them yipping and fluttering.

I'm supposed to get new gas logs on Wednesday. I wonder if that's going to be a problem for the birds--or me!
