The worst part about waking up at 4:45 to catch a flight isn't so much the waking up early.... it's the not sleeping well all night because you know you have to get up early and can't miss the alarm.

It's gonna be a long day. Flight at 715. Get to conference/hotel around 9. Stand at a booth all day til 7. Go out to dinner/drinking with coworkers way too late. Get up early tomorrow and repeat.

When I come home from Vegas in June, my flight out leaves at 7am. I'm thinking about not going to sleep until I'm on the plane.

What city? What show? Are you flying home tomorrow morning or is it a 2 (or more) day show?

Tradeshow/Conference lifestyle is fun for about two days, then it gets really old. Every four years there is a 14-day Print Tradeshow in Dusseldorf called DRUPA. It features about 2,000 exhibitors and 300,000+ attendees. It is a wild, exhausting ride including planes, trains, automobiles, beer gardens, schweinshaxe, drinking, schweinshaxe, drinking, drinking, drinking, standing, schweinshaxe. I have never slept so well on an airplane before the day I left DRUPA.

So yeah, have fun!!!

Geez, Bones... tonight's Idol had some really UGLY moments, but some good ones as well.

Crystal: She did a better CADDYSHACK theme than did Loggins, but the song still sucks.
Lee: In SERIOUS trouble. Purely offkey, dull, awful. And I thought Sele was bad.

Both Lee & Crystal dueted VERY well.

Mike: WTF did he sing? That was pure suckitude.
Casey: A lackluster Mrs. Robinson.

Mike & Casey: Dueted Bryan Adams "Have you ever really loved a woman." Good guitar playing. Too bad this isn't a guitar competition.

If it were based solely on this week, Lee is a goner... but it is not. It's either Casey or Mike. One of this pair is gone.

On the bright side, no one sang Fleetwood Mac. :ymdevil:

I voted for Casey. Again and again and again.

I loved his rendition of Mrs. Robinson. Of course, I'm partial to younger men, and The Graduate brings back lovely memories for me. Plus, Kara went to Duke. He was singing that song to her.
