I haven't come up with anything better. So here is post 3,000!
OzzieDaughter and her husband, OzzieSIL, are planning to have more kids. OD was an only child (by our choice - when you do it right the first time, why take chances ;) ), Mrs. Ozzie has three younger sisters. I think the grand kids will fall somewhere within that range, and sooner rather than later. But it won't be quick enough to be 3Grand(pa). I better win the Powerball jackpot tonight - I can't imagine the financial burden they will have (on teachers' salaries) with multiple kids. Oy!OZZIE4DUKE

You're not kidding about the financial burden multiple children can/will be. Tell them to move up here to the Great White North. As teachers with a few years experience they'd each easily be making in the 80K range. They'd make even more if they have a graduate degree.

Thanks, but, no thanks. The cold in the north carolina mountains is cold enough, and far enough away from us. Toronto is a beautiful city, and as a kid I enjoyed riding the trolleys on Bluer St., but I wouldn't want them to live there.colchar wrote:OZZIE4DUKE wrote: I can't imagine the financial burden they will have (on teachers' salaries) with multiple kids. I had forgotten how familiar you were with Toronto. Winters have been a lot milder lately so the cold wouldn't be bad. But the distance thing would still be an issue. Then again, it would give you an excuse to visit and ride the streetcars on Bloor St.! EJ has been up here a couple of times for baseball games so we could always make a party of it ;)
