Roger that! My big first two 0's are killing me right now in points. A couple of winning picks just might help me climb the ladder. Maybe I should go with Mark Martin next week? ;)YmoBeThere wrote:RE: Long season
That's what I'm counting on, my start out of the gate the first two races was unreasonably good. I hope to finish better this year compared to last.

I couldn't believe when he was leading there at the end.... Do you think he couldn't have pulled it out, if that last caution had not occurred?Lavabe wrote:During the broadcast, FOX caught hold of a 2 minute long conversation between Jeff Gordon and his crew chief about whether to go with a 2-tire or a 4-tire change. FOX then flashed over to a conversation w/Jr and his crew chief. My paraphrase is:
Crew Chief: Should we go with a 2-tire or 4-tire change?
Jr: I don't care about no stinking tires.
Maybe that's why Jr hasn't won in so long.

You probably used up all your Harvick selections.knights68 wrote:I am a little confused and a tad miffed!
I picked Harvick, and he won!! I actually (and finally) have one winner picked! But on the stats it does not show it! And I only got 100 pts for the winning pick too? How rude!

Re: NASCAR 2010
One normally gets 100 pts for the winner (a little more if he leads the most laps, and a little more if he wins qualifying). THAT I understand. But you also had JG (Crash, boom bam) and Rocketman (finished about as bad as my Kenseth pick), and Scott Speed (in 15th). What did you expect, 500 points?knights68 wrote:I am a little confused and a tad miffed!

The stat on WINS is simply having the most number of points within our league on any given week. For example, so far, colchar has had the most number of points in the league on three separate weeks. On the other hand, you and I and Tilly have yet to have the most number of points on any week this season.
Dadgummit... BONES has a win, and he didn't even pick Mark Martin!!

I've got to do better than last week's dismal performance. Then again, if even one of my drivers manages to finish the race I will have done better.

168 laps into the race and Kyle Busch laying a big can of whoop ass on the field, but the cautions are allowing cars to get back into the race. Blech lapped JJ, but JJ is now back into the race. After a long green run, only NINE cars were on the lead lap, but we now have 27 cars in the lead lap, thanks to the cautions.

231 laps into the 400 lap race: Jeff Burton finally passed Kyle Busch.
I wish for nothing short of a 24 hour deluge, as I am now running 1, 2, 18, and 25.
Blech earns fantasy bonus points for leading the most laps in the race. I suspect he will finish out of the top 10.

Re: NASCAR 2010
74 laps to go, and it's ALL Gordon.
Harvick, Burton, Blech doing okay, but JG is dominating now.
Watch out... Hamlin is on the move. Started 30th, and is now 8th.

Re: NASCAR 2010
I am currently running 1st (Gordon), 2nd (Harvick), 11th (Bowyer), and 29th (Hornish).
If the top three of those finish where they are right now I'd be perfectly happy with the result.

Re: NASCAR 2010
Well Hornish is out but he wasn't gonna earn me many points anyway. Hopefully the other three finish well. A one, two finish with Gordon and Harvick would be awesome for me as it would make up for my abysmal performance last week.

I didn't get a one, two finish but I got a two, three finish so I'll take it. I also had Bowyer come in 11th and Hornish finished 36th. Now I can go back to watching the hockey.

I had Burton, E Jr, ? and R. Gordon! At least Burton led a few laps.... Kyle had the car tonight unfortunately. My buddy and I thought J. Gorndon had it won too!

Re: NASCAR 2010
I finished with Blech and Burton (yeah), but Vickers (20) and Hornish (37) sucked it up.
I believe I lost like 5 pts to colchar, but the big news is that YMO may have won this week, and is now in 2nd, a scant 3 pts ahead of me.
