Woo hoo! I finally made picks.

As a NASCAR fan, I love 'dega.

As a fantasy NASCAR participant, I hate 'dega.

Made picks, more out of, the dart board approach we've all talked about.

Well, at least I didn't pick MICHAEL WALTRIP. L-)

Did everyone get their 'dega picks in?

At this point in the season, I'd like to congratulate Bones on NOT having used up his Mark Martin picks.

Yes, much more restraint than many of us were expecting.

RE: Long season

That's what I'm counting on, my start out of the gate the first two races was unreasonably good. I hope to finish better this year compared to last.

Me too. I was in the lead early last year but had shot my wad and therefore petered out as I didn't have what it took to stay up there for the rest of the season.

Nice and steady will win this race so, this year, I am pacing myself better and am not peaking too soon.

Well I'm definitely losing my lead after that race. None of my drivers finished. Fuck me.

You had a more than big enough lead, no one did very well this race.

Tilly and I had identical scores, and both of us moved up a bit on colchar. However colchar is still comfortably in the lead.

Meanwhile, MILES gets the win this week.

I saw that we had the same score so assumed we had the same line-up. Wow! We didn't.

During the broadcast, FOX caught hold of a 2 minute long conversation between Jeff Gordon and his crew chief about whether to go with a 2-tire or a 4-tire change. FOX then flashed over to a conversation w/Jr and his crew chief. My paraphrase is:
Crew Chief: Should we go with a 2-tire or 4-tire change?
Jr: I don't care about no stinking tires.

Maybe that's why Jr hasn't won in so long. 8-}

My roommate and I commented on the exact same thing when we heard that.

Oh yeah... Harvick won in a close finish.

And the folks at Shell feel two inches tall. Earlier in the week, they announced that they were pulling their sponsorship of Harvick's car.

Way to go, Harvick!! :ymapplause: :ymapplause:

I am a little confused and a tad miffed!
I picked Harvick, and he won!! I actually (and finally) have one winner picked! But on the stats it does not show it! And I only got 100 pts for the winning pick too? How rude! [-(
